What do you guys thinks about laminate flooring VS carpet flooring in the living room?

    I think wall to wall carpet is just yucky it never comes really clean and when it gets dirty it looks awful. I would always go hardsurface flooring with area rugs that can be taken up and cleaned.

      Definitely hardwood! An area rug under the coffee table could add coziness to the sitting area

      After years with both carpet and hardwood...hardwood, for sure. Carpet just isn't practical, especially if you have pets and kids.

      Does anyone think though that living room carpets add comfort appeal? Or are prints too busy for living room ?

      Printed carpets remind me of office buildings. I much prefer the look of area rugs with patterns than I do wall-to-wall printed carpets.
