They did not provide the cheapest estimate we received, but they were extremely professional, provided the most thorough information, seemed focused on doing things right, and we were really comfortable working with them and communicating with them. We are extremely happy we went with TCB. The renovation process hasn't been perfect - which is really not possible - but TCB has been excellent at finding solutions to the unforeseen things we could not anticipate. More importantly, they do things the right way and are honest about what is going on and what needs to be done. This was our first renovation, so we asked a ton of questions, but the entire TCB team always took the time to talk us through stuff and answer any questions we had. Lastly, the quality of their work is superb. We've had some neighbors over throughout the process who have gone through several renovations and they commented that they could tell TCB were true craftsmen based on the quality of their work. I would highly recommend their services and will hire them for any renovation work we do in the future.”

“DaveQ Design & Build performed a remodel of our kitchen in Nov-Dec 2015. The remodel included new tile flooring, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, sink, faucet, over-the-range microwave, light fixtures and paint. DaveQ owner, David Qualley worked with us on concept development, defining the scope, partitioning some of the work that we wanted to perform ourselves (demo, exposing a brick chimney, installing lights and faucet). He has a great deal of home construction and repair/remodeling knowledge and helped steer many of our decisions to achieve our desired outcome and to control costs. DaveQ was very easy to work with on material selection. DaveQ provided the option of a lower cost cabinet wholesaler and we were able to obtain a very good price on quality flat-packed cabinets. We assembled the cabinets for DaveQ to install which was another cost savings. Cabinet installation was top notch. A soffit was removed and the new cabinets installed to the ceiling. Molding and trim work and final touch-up were very meticulous and well done. We also worked with DaveQ on purchase of the Daltile floor tile and backsplash we selected. The flooring installation was performed by a subcontractor arranged by Mr. Qualley and their work was excellent. Mr. Qualley installed the backsplash and it is beautifully done. I can't say enough good things about the communication with Mr. Qualley, his ability to provide ideas and solutions to achieve our design goals, and how well he worked with us to contain costs. The project was completed on budget and we are very pleased with the results.”

“About 10 years ago at a neighbor's recommendation, I hired SGS builders to add a 3 level addition to my home. Steve showed us computer drawn views of our described build. His projected costs were mid-range. There was no plumbing in the build. He planned out the schedule which included: removing a fireplace, digging a basement level foundation, HOA permissions and county permits and a new deck addition and old deck reno and moving original AC to a better place on the side of the house. He also added two full size basement windows in the old part of the home and replaced sliding doors on two levels. While the basic three levels were plain rooms, they included hardwoods, a bay window and smooth integration into the original house - a total of 600+ square feet. Steve added a requested small octagonal stained glass window upon request. The only unexpected cost came when the third level beam needed support in the garage. He had to pour considerable concrete and add a post in the middle of the garage. He was careful to place it between bays. Steve was the general contractor, yet was at the house every day of the build and left it clean and safe for my small children every night. He supervised every sub-contractor carefully. He told us when he would start and when he would finish and he stuck to his schedule - finishing a week or so before his projected end-date. The work was exactly as I requested, the price was fair, the care and timeline was extraordinary. It has been 10 years and it still looks good.”
