“We interviewed several builders last year when we set out to expand our home at Lake Anna. Before we found Battlefield Homes, we had not found any that met our standards. By standards, I mean professionalism, responsiveness, communication, and timeliness – in addition to good quality workmanship. We had received some cost estimates from other builders that were either astronomical or suspiciously low. We had started to wonder if any of them could be trusted. From the very beginning, our instincts told us that we could entrust Allen Harrison and his team at Battlefield with this project which was near and dear to our hearts . That decision has proved to be the best decision we could have made. Battlefield Construction is professionalism at all levels. Ours was a complex project because it was a renovation, and the original home had several construction issues that needed to be addressed. We were made aware of the potential challenges before construction began, and as the project was carried out, we were always kept up to date. We were able to adjust the project to keep costs down, while still getting the results we wanted. Allen and the team helped us to make informed decisions so we didn’t feel like we were compromising on quality or functionality. We have now been enjoying our newly remodeled lake house for 4 months. This renovation has far exceeded our expectations of what we initially hoped for. The quality is superior and we continue to be pleased by small construction details which are so thoughfully executed. Thank you Allen, for maintaining our trust in your team throughout the project. Jon and Mandy made the home building process simple, We loved the fact that we could contact them personally with any questions that we had along the way and they responded quickly and with concern. We love our new home and are thrilled with the quality and craftsmanship. “Gil Construction exceeded our expectations in so many ways. They were prompt and courteous and did excellent work in adding a bathroom to existing space. Jim Elliot, the owner, suggested a better placement for the bathroom which resulted in a much better bathroom and came in on budget. Additionally, their estimate was the best we received. They were all a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond in everything they did. For additional house projects I will absolutely consult them first.”

To whom this may concern: Mary and I wanted to write this review saying that our building contractor, Mr. Goodman B. Duke, G.C. has done an outstanding job renovating our lake house. We're both in our 60's , retired and started looking for a Building Contractor to do the renovation of our lake home which is located at Blue Ridge Shores in Louisa, Virginia. We started researching and inquiring about our project a year ago in February, 2015. After checking with several people in that community and searching the Internet for a builder that was reputable; it was obvious that Mr. Duke was a good choice due to his number of years of experience and community involvement. We contacted Mr. Duke and he promptly met us and immediately we felt at ease with his professional approach and his manner of work ethic; especially, taking time to listen to our questions and needs. He assured us that he, along with his professional team of workers would be able to achieve our dream lake house. Everything was performed in a clean and timely manner. We were always contacted when questions arose. His ideas were creative and exciting. His design was exactly what we were looking for in the final product. Everything has been scheduled and completed in a timely manner with "No glitches" except for the weather. We can't express enough positive comments about Mr. Duke, his work, his character and efficiency. His workers have been very respectful and critical to detail. Mr. Duke's approach gave us a trustworthy feeling knowing that our lake house has many memories and is very important to us and our family.
