After interviewing 3 other contractors we chose Mr. Fisher based on his credible credentials which were supported by an outstanding complement of prior projects in the Tampa Bay area. Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa, our 1/2+ acre lot features arguably, the most beautiful view of the river and Tampa City Skyline. As such we wanted a builder who was skillful, committed to our concepts and dreams, and dedicated. Mr. Fisher proved all of these and more. From initial planning through final phases of the project Mr. Fisher was on site supervising each day. He was proactive in practice as well as in policy. Throughout the project we did not encounter any unreasonable delays or problems. My wife and I are extremely pleased with Classic Builders and would recommend them to anyone who desires elegance as an essential ingredient in their project .

“I had just bought a new house and was getting a quote to have my kitchen redone and they gave me a very reasonable quote which inlcuded all that I wanted done. The person who quoted me was very knowledage and I could tell had been doing this for a long time. I had been shopping around to get the best price and they were able to beat all of the other prices that I had gotten. Also, I was shown some of the other work that they have done and it was absolutely perfect! I attached one of the images from another location that they had sent me. In the end I didn't get this work done becuase my house loan had to be done differently and I wasn't able to inlcude the renovations in the loan. I am now saving up to get this done for my new house which I perchased last year.”

“I am writing this unqualified recommendation on behalf of Mont Hartman, with whom my wife and I have worked closely over the past year on what became a major residential renovation project in Sarasota, FL.
Mont Hartman assumed the role of Project Manager soon after we designed and contracted for what was then planned to be a limited condominium remodel. Mont brought himself “up to speed” quickly and then reached out to us to meet and refine our goals and the scope of our project. Throughout our renovation Mont was responsive, respectful and creative. His vision, team leadership, broad range of knowledge in all areas of our project (design, permitting, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, counters, tile, flooring, painting, electronics, etc.) and problem-solving skills were the critical factors that have led to a wonderful outcome with which we are very pleased.
As is often the case, our project changed and expanded as we proceeded. Mont handled these modifications smoothly and efficiently and with good humor. Mont also needed to deal with some unusual additional challenges. The project was undertaken in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic with resultant difficulties in coordination and supervision of subcontractors, supply chain disruptions and safety concerns. In addition, the bulk of this renovation was undertaken remotely, since our primary residence during this project was in NYC. Nevertheless, Mont was able to keep us well-informed and involved on all aspects of the project with his regular texts, detailed emails, pictures and FaceTime calls.
We feel fortunate to have worked with Mont and his team. Their work ethic, experience, integrity, skills, maturity and advocacy are exceptional. We are pleased to recommend Mont Hartman and his team enthusiastically and without reservation.”

Unfortunately watching home renovation shows doesn't prepare you for what is really involved when your house is filled with mold, water damage, outdated wiring, leaking plumbing, and just plain ugly. Oh, and as the cherry on top, it smelled disgusting. If we hadn't worked with Shaun and the team at Shelby Construction I am not sure where we would be at. We ended up having to rewire, replumb, replace the HVAC system, get rid of termites, and at the end of the day gut the house to studs and rebuild it.
