We were shopping around for a while and one day someone was handing out flyers In our area and that's how I came across The Window Store. So we set up an appointment. A month later we had our siding and a few of our windows replaced by the window store. Our house transformation looked beautiful our neighbors loved the color. Our experience was great the installers were very friendly I recommended The Window Store.

I made the mistake of hiring The Window Store. We needed 15 windows and Travis was a great salesman. When the windows were scheduled, I was told I was told five days for install. Paul installed very quickly and completed in three days. The windows were crooked, damaged, under insulated, trim was falling down around them, some were sagging, causing the screens to bow. We called to complain several times and were not taken seriously. When I spoke with Hailey she said Paul was their best installer and he informed them they just needed some sheet rock and one window frame was cracked. They asked several times for payment and to have inspection performed (unfortunately in Forest Lake they require a mid inspection and the Paul failed to have that done.) I assured them it would not pass. When they sent me a mechanical lien because I refused to pay (the ironic part was it was after four months and not valid.) I called Orin and he agreed to come look at the home, Travis, Paul and Tom had also been in our home after installation. After Orin photographed everything The Window Store denied all damages, hired an attorney who threatened me with a law suit. I reported them to the Department of Labor and Industry. This started everything moving, very quickly. The Department of Labor requested an inspection, of course The Window Store failed the inspection from the City of Forest Lake, the violations were many! In speaking with the Department of Labor and industry, I described how difficult it was to close windows and how the curtains would blow from the air leaks. Upon our discussion, the failed inspection and pictures he received he gave us The Window Stores Insurance information. The quotes for damages were over $48,000.00! The insurance company arrived and we showed him the back splash, electrical outlet damage, deck rail, floor damage (Paul dropped a window) and, sheetrock and paint damage. We have just settled with The Window Stores insurance, the amount was reduced because of depreciation. I will be filing a complaint with The BBB and requesting The Window Store pays the depreciation. Almost a year has passed and some of the windows have been shimmed, We still have a window with a cracked frame, one window we cannot open and two frames that were damaged from Paul during original install.

I would give the window store negative stars if possible. I've had the worst possible contractor experience with them on a kitchen refacing project. They came out to work on the project with the install timeline of a week. They guaranteed that everything needed to complete the job was in stock and available. Unfortunately, by the end of the week, they said my style of countertop wasn't available and asked if I'd accept another style. The lazy Susan door was also incorrectly ordered and had holes drilled in the opposite direction that were needed. After accepting the timeline for a new door and agreeing to a new countertop style, they brought out the countertop/embedded sink the next week and promptly snapped it in half during the install. Fast-forward a couple weeks - still no countertop and sink in the kitchen. I discussed this with the install coordinator, and he assured me that they would get another one out the next week. Fast-forward another couple of weeks and they finally installed the countertop/sink. Unfortunately, there was gaps in multiple places between the countertop and cabinets. We also noticed some sub-standard work on trim pieces and paint runs in other trim pieces that were used anyways to save them money. I discussed these items with the countertop installer, and he assured me that the install coordinator would be in contact with us to get these fixed. We never heard anything from him and had to follow-up with a call. When I was able to discuss with him on the phone, he said this was the first he heard of it and nothing had been ordered for the repairs - including the lazy Susan door. Fast forward another 6 weeks and we're 3 months into the project. Another installed came out to make all the repairs. Unfortunately, the lazy Susan door still had holes drilled in the incorrect place. We would have had to wait another 3 weeks for the correct door or accept them filling the holes with wood putty and drilling new holes. We choose that route to finish the project with the understanding that they would discount our project for all the hassles that they caused over the past 3 months. The installed collected 90% of the remaining balance with 10% outstanding. However, they sent us a bill in the mail for the remaining 10% and pretended that nothing happened, and delays are normal - essentially trying to gaslight us into believing that this happens all the time and it wasn't their fault because of supply chain issues. This might have flown if they didn't cause all the problems in the first place by using substandard installers and material to increase their profit margins. As you can see - using this company is fine if you want lots of hassle, slow delivery, and poor workmanship. They are unwilling to correct what they did wrong by offering a discount as they promised and insist on us paying the full amount - even saying that they offered a discount upfront and won't provide any more discounts no matter what happened.

The window company is working with me on fixing a window that had broken. Will update when completed and everything is fixed

The Window Store was WONDERFUL to work with from the entire process from start to finish. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. With so many options for windows, it can be overwhelming. Their cost was affordable & their windows are high quality. I am looking forward to working with them again to do the windows in the rest of my house.

The Window Store team installed 2 new exterior doors on our house. The team was very friendly and helpful keeping me in the loop all the way through the process. Very happy thanks guys.

Employees were very friendly snd informative. They They answered sll my questions and offered options. John even brought product samples to my house so I could pick out a paint color that would be accurate . Installer was awesome! He cleaned everything, everyday . Best experience ever

Excellent job! Wasn’t sure if I was going to like it but I not only like the new window I LOVE it! The guys installing were efficient, friendly and cleaned up like we didn’t know they were there. Definitely recommend the Window Store to everyone. Travis did a great job exposing how it was going to all work snd he was spit on. Thanks for a job well done.

I received the very best service possible. Timely and efficient. Jim did the work and was here on time each morning for five days. He is a very refined gentleman and it show in his work too. I enjoyed him. The product is beautiful and I just couldn't be happier. I get up during the night, turn the lights on and look again. I am so happy!!!!

The Window Store did an amazing job with replacing 4 of our windows. Every person we encountered (Arden, Ron, Haley) were exceptional in their jobs and effectively communicated with us in each phase of the job. If you’re looking to get quality work done by quality employee at a quality store - pick The Window Store!

Ed & I could not be HAPPIER with our new kitchen cabinets! From start to finish everyone we worked with was amazing & professional. I would absolutely use them again if we do anymore big remodeling projects.

My new windows look great and the installation went exactly as promised and on-schedule. Ron answered my questions and showed me how to pop them out for cleaning, and also managed nicely around a tricky part of the outside cladding. Also replaced a broken CO detector for me and carted out every scrap of debris from the old windows. I will definitely consult The Window Store for my next home improvement project. -Dale M
