Mr. Lacher,
I’m sorry that you had a negative experience with our company; we certainly aim to have positive experiences with all our customers, but see how this has fallen short of our expectations of customer service. I understand the frustration you feel and have voiced in this claim and in the email you sent to Randy and me on September 9th 2015. After speaking with Randy about the particular details and discussions you had with him, we feel you have misrepresented our company’s response to your concern; however, we will be sending out a refund check later this week.
A few points of clarifying:
• We did not charge our initial service fee of $125.
• The window manufacturer has changed their templates several times for
arched top units and we did our best to order the replacement glass despite not having any paperwork nor being the initial distributor who ordered the product (and agreed to service the product). Essentially, we were doing this service work as a “good will gesture”; we made no profit in this transaction, yet had time and expense involved.
• The first time that I was aware of any issue was in the email you sent on September 9th, 2015. The tone of your email was insulting and rude, so I did not respond directly, but it prompted me to inquire about your order. I was led to believe that this issue was resolved at that time. Apparently it was not resolved.
• I recall a very brief phone call from you, but the connection was very poor since I was working remotely and had the office line forwarded to my cell phone. I called you back on my cell phone, but got no response. I did not follow up with additional calls and I turned my attention elsewhere and forgot to circle back to it.
• On October 22, 2015, we received an email requesting we refund the product cost. Your order was a custom product and it’s company policy to explain there are no refunds, exchanges or returns. Its unclear if this was accurately explained and hence, we will offer a refund of the amount you’ve requested of $98.66.
We’re sorry that you had a poor customer experience and now consider this matter closed.
