Easter Fencing

I had looked at Eastern Fencing before but didn't hire them at the time. I recently reached out again and I was very impressed. I met with Daniel (Sensitive Information Hidden). He really knows fencing. We had a rotting wood fence with a double gate that was falling apart. He made a recommendation to rebuild the double gates and the front end of the fencing. Compared to others who gave me the most expensive option to rebuild everything which Daniel confirmed I didn't need. The pricing was very reasonable, but the level of care and communication through the process was definitely worthy of a 5-star review.

Horrible experience from the start to what will just not end. We hired Easter Fencing to fence our property and gate our driveway to enclose the area so our dogs can’t get out. Keeping our dogs contained was the only goal and I made that very clear to Daniel from the beginning. I gave my deposit and signed the contract on Nov 3rd 2020 and was told my project would be completed by Thanksgiving 2020. They did not start until Dec 30th and took until the end of January to complete the fence. He did immediately cash my check once he got it. They installed an electric gate on our driveway that has never operated correctly from the start. It is now mid October 2021 and we are still trying to get them to fix the gate so it will operated properly. Communication is horrible, almost non existent. The gate will open on it‘s own, not open when it is suppose to, freeze up half way through opening and not close after opening at times. The exit sensor malfunctioned, both arms on the gate have stopped functioning and will not allow you to open the gate manually. Just this morning we were not able to leave our property without getting out a wrench to dismantle a gate arm because the gate wouldn’t open and one arm wouldn’t allow us to manually open it. Daniel has been aware that we can’t manually open the gate since Aug 14th yet has done nothing. I understand that parts break or are faulty but there is no excuse for allowing a broken gate arm to go unrepaired for 2 MONTHS! I paid Daniel $10,000 for the gate and equipment needed to run the gate and I am left with a gate that can’t do the most basic of functions properly. The only positive I have to say about Easter Fencing is that the couple of guys that came out to install our fence were nice.

A little pricier than a couple other companies I've gotten quotes from for commercial grade material. Moreover, I found it kinda strange or fishy that they don't provide customers any itemized statements/billing? When I asked; their response was, that they do not ever offer that to their customers and that there were no local fencing companies that would provide it, other than possibly Lowes. Which oddly enough since hearing that, I did find many companies, locally, as well as Lowes who were more than happy to provide it! Also, many companies whom I've spoken with, some even in other states, have stated that any reputable/honest company would provide a written itemized sheet of everything that you're getting…it makes you wonder just what kind of hidden fees/additional charges someone will try to tack on when they refuse to give you an honest written/itemized billing statement of their product and services being provided for you.
