High Tech Flooring and Design

High Tech Flooring did a nice job in installation of wood flooring upstairs, downstairs, and on stairs of our townhome. Mike (Sensitive Information Hidden) was very helpful in handling the few things that needed some fixing after the work was completed. He went above and beyond for us. We highly recommend Mike to anyone with a flooring project.

We selected High-Tech Flooring+Design for our new floors because they had been highly recommended to us. We are in the process of doing a major remodel to our home and started working with the owner Mike Patino. Mike recommended my wife and I work with Enrique Juarez through the sales and installation process. Because Mike keeps a good inventory of product, the product was available when we needed it and was installed on time and within budget. The best part of working with Mike and Enrique is that they did a great job of communicating with us at each step along the journey. They listened to our questions and responded back in a timely manner, and what they said is what was done. Enrique's installation crew was excellent and had great attitudes and worked extremely hard to make sure we were happy with the end result. I highly recommend you consider considering this company for your remodel/flooring needs.

Hi-Tech floors do not perform according to specifications. They did not adhere to communication from builder or homeowner. Perform their work at their specifications and standards ignoring builder and owner plans. Their work is defective. Workers are unsupervised and do not speak english. Not an honest company and always have a story that their defective practices are the fault of somone rose.

If you have a choice, go with any company other than this one. My family and I just moved to the Austin area and bought a new home. In the walk thru, there was a area of flooring in one of the bathrooms that needed to be fixed. At the closing, it still wasn't fixed (not sure if this was the construction company or High-Tech's fault). We altered the construction company and had an appointment setup with HTF&D. I was told by the customer service person I spoke with that the repairman would be by in a particular window and would call me before showing up, so if we needed to adjust the time, we could. All sounded great, until the appointment day rolled around. I stayed at the house all morning, waiting to get a call and someone show up to fix my flooring. An hour after the scheduled time period had lapsed, I called the company to reschedule. The CS rep didn't even apologize for a no show, no call. Thirty minutes after I got off the phone with the company, a guy in normal clothes shows up at my door saying he is with HTF&D, right as I was about to leave. Didn't call, didn't apologize for being late, nothing. Let him go ahead and work and delayed my plans. He left after about 5 minutes and I was left with a massive glob of glue on my floor. It looked terrible! Called the company again and was asked to send an e-mail with pictures documenting the issue. So I did. Two weeks later and I still hadn't gotten a response, so I contacted them again. Terrible service!!!! Said that they couldn't tell from the pictures what was going on and would have to send out an inspector. Inspector came the next week, saw the issue and told me it was going to have to be fixed... A week later someone finally came back to fix the flooring (of course, there was no call and the guy didn't show up in his appointment window. Though I was assured by the inspector that he would stay on top of it for our appointment. Ha). Was here for about one minute and said he was done. I went in the bathroom to look and he hadn't fixed anything. Asked him repeatedly what he fixed, because he didn't fix the problem and he wouldn't answer me. Called the company and the inspector guy to make sure this fella knew what he was doing. The guy finally fixed the issue, but left glue all over the floor and all over my wall. I am not happy, but at this point, the company has been such a pain that I will figure out how to fix it myself over having these people do anything more at my home. Absolute nightmare from start to finish. And it took two months to finally "finish" (if getting glue all over the wall and floor is considered finishing something). Do yourself a favor and don't use this company.

This company has great products and some of the worst installation people ever! We have had to wait at our home 4 or 5 times for the installation people to show us and they are either way late or never show up. Today is no exception. I have been home all afternoon. After them not showing up the other day they promised us that they would come today from 12 to 1 and here it is 5:30 and I have yet to see them. I own my own business and understand not all customer experience will be perfect but this one is way below par! Love the carpet but not a fan of the timeliness!

Eli helped me with so many projects it is hard to count them all. He even helped with items that the company did not sell. I basically gutted and remodeled my entire townhouse. I had my own contractors but Eli introduced new ways to finish tile (with Schluter) rather than costly bull nosed edges. The Schluter matchs the finishes of my house much better. I love my new engineered Hardwood Floors and have even called about best way to clean them now that they are installed and I am living on them. I watched those home makeover shows for 2 years before purchasing and remodeling my new home and I can say I truly understand those people on the shows when they say, "I can't believe this is MY house". I am living that everyday thanks in part to High Tech Flooring. THANK YOU!!!

Out looking for tiles for a kitchen back splash, I stopped in the High Tech Flooring and Design store In Austin, TX on a Saturday morning. The sign outside said they had tiles. I was feeling a bit bewildered, when their interior designer, Leslie Williams, asked if I needed help. I had some Mexican tiles I wanted to use for part of the back splash, but I wasn't sure how to use them or what tiles would go with them. I showed her some photos on my iPhone, and she suggested white subway tiles and gave me some samples to take home and try. When I brought them back, I showed her more photos of the kitchen, and since we had a lot of wall to cover, she helped me decide on larger 4"x8" white subway tiles and said I should put the Mexican tiles behind the range all the way to the ceiling. She was able to picture in her head what the kitchen would look like better than I could, and I trusted her judgement and experience. She ordered the tiles, and they came in a couple of days. My contractor's guy installed them, and we are very satisfied. The kitchen looks beautiful. I found Leslie to be so nice and helpful, and the tiles such a good price, that I didn't even go look at other tile places.

High Tech Flooring and Design has the latest and greatest new products and the sales professionals are extremely knowledgable and helpful. As an interior designer, I have worked with them for many years and have been extremely impressed with the outstanding customer service and quality they provide. The owners, Michael Patino and David Boscoe, create lasting relationships with their clients and stand behind their products and services. Mike Patino, owner of High Tech Flooring and Design, has assembled a team of very capable professionals. These guys know what they are doing. From the sales representative to the scheduler to the installer and his team to the quality control foreman, they are all on task and know their stuff. I had a very intricate patterned carpet installed and it looks perfect. I would challenge anyone to find a seam in it. Also, they make working with them easy. High-Tech has earned my gratitude and my future business. If you want your flooring done right, on time, and on estimate, call these guys.

The folks at High Tech flooring were awesome and fast. The work was as good as advertised in the show room and they took less time than I thought it would take to put hardwoods in four rooms. I would definitely recommend them.

I have been a very satisfied customer of High Tech Flooring and Design for a number of years and have found them to be a trustworthy and knowledgeable source. I have worked with them on projects both for rental properties and my personal residence. I am the type of person that has a hard time making decisions and they are completely patient with me. I have worked mostly with Robin and Michael, but have dealt with most everyone there at one time or another and they all are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The installers are professional and courteous as well. They most recently recommended a porcelain wood look alike for a master bath remodel. I receive compliments on it all the time-it is gorgeous!
