In the meantime, we have significantly increased our collection of fine antique and semi-antique rugs through recent acquisitions. We are now located at 47-09 30th Street, Suite 502, Long Island City, NY 11101. This location is even more desirable since Queensboro Plaza, which is two blocks away, can easily be reached by bus or subway from Manhattan in less than 15 minutes. Moreover, we extend complimentary pick-up and delivery service as a courtesy to all of our customers. In addition to our over half-a-century of combined expertise in repairing antique and semi-antique Oriental rugs and European tapestries, we have increased our capacity of hand-washing them at our new location. Hayko restored my antique caucasian rug circa 1900 to perfection. The vegetable dyes were beautifully matched and the various holes, edges and missing corners were restored to its original beauty. I would highly recommend Hayko to anyone nervous about handing over your treasured rug for restoration. The results were just amazing and thoroughly enjoyed talking to Hayko about his knowledge of rugs.

Hayko restored an antique Kurdish rug that I had purchased from him. The rug needed a lot of repair. Extensive areas of the rug were worn through such that the patterns were no longer visible. Hayko did an incredible restoration job. I couldn't tell which areas had work done by simply looking at the restored rug.

Hayko has been my go to person for all of the cleaning and repair of my antique Persian rugs. His work is excellent, he takes extra care of the rugs he works on, his turn around is quick and he holds to his deadlines. Hayko also consulted on several antique rugs that we subsequently purchased. One rug that we fell in love with was to large for the room and so we called Hayko. He assured us that he could reduce the size of the rug and we wouldn't know the difference and he was right! Hayko is friendly and a joy to work with!

I've known Hayko for many years. I'm a repeat customer. Hayk, himself, really cares and has the best staff of master crafts people. I have some antique and semi-antique fine rugs and I know I can rely on him and his staff for the best cleaning, hand-washing and repair/restoration, whenever needed. He knows everything there's to know about carpets, is reliable and is a lovely person to work with. I strongly recommend him.

Dear houzz, I have known Hayko for more than 15 years, first meeting him at the ICOC conference in 2000 in San Francisco . At that time I sold an important 17th c. Turkish rug to a client of Hayko's. The rug was cut and missing abut 6 inches all the way across the piece. This was an extremely difficult job, and as the rug was sold for $65,000 you can imagine how nervous I was about the repair! Well, after the rug was restored, you could never have found the restoration if you had not seen the rug previously. After that I trusted numerous pieces of mine and also my most important clients to Hayko for all manner of restorations and also washing, and never was disappointed with the results. Furthermore Hayko was always prompt and ON TIME with what he promised to do for me, which is not often the case in the world of antique oriental rugs. I was a client of Mr. Hayko Oltaci for many years when I lived In New York City and after moving to San Diego. Mr. Oltaci always delivered carpets of high quality at reasonable price and repaired very well any damage I had on older carpets. I highly recommend Mr. Oltaci as carpet dealer.

HAYKO is one of the best designer and rug maker/repairer in his field. He also teaches other people, no matter age and background, to love and create rugs that is so useful for all human beings for all the time. I know HAYGO from the ARENI choir where we both were singing, during all ARENI parties and performances he was the one who volunteer to decorate and design the occasion the way that was showing Armenian culture and beauty of the event in the same time. Also I been in his work place - rug gallery, where he also runs classes for new and advance learners. You have to see how much effort and experience he is putting to make his students to learn rug making technique and create in the same time. Besides all this HAYKO is a good person and a friend, I enjoy being around him when he helps and respects young or old with his all time smiling face, missed you HAYKO......
