They misrepresented all the way! They sold us on being able to put LVT(luxury vinyl) right over the existing tile. They stated so in the contract that was made in our home.
They told us that is 80% of their business.
The day of the install we found out that going over the tile without additional prep is usually never possible because of the grout. The floor itself was level. Even the subfloor in one room with hardwood floors was level. We were given the option to either fork out $875.00 for grinding down the tile and applying a compound over the top or paying a $2500.00 restocking fee. The new floor makes loud crispy sounds when you walk on it. Like there is some grit underneath. We also never received a copy of the warranty they claim to give, or a written release of lien as stated on the back of their contract after we submitted full payment.
Repeated attempts by phone, in-person visits and emails to the owner, after project completion, yielded no response.

Exercise extreme caution when dealing with these characters. Post purchase service is so bad that I am going to extremes to share my experience for a measly $100 credit for returned merchandise. First, I was awarded a credit card dispute of $625.04 for merchandise on a second order that I never received from them and after promising to refund my credit card charge, they never did, and I had to take matters up with my bank. This was after they miss measured my project in my house leaving me 3 boxes short then tried to sell me 3 additional boxes at higher cost. In addition to their miss guided measurements, they sold me T-molding on my original bill of $3,317.84 that was not required as my state certified general contractor did not use or need. I returned this T-molding in person where they accepted the return merchandise and told me to look for a credit which, once again never occurred. Now this was months after the original purchase and through delays of installation, bank disputes and their delayed response. They declined the credit card dispute by submitting the original invoice with no mention of taking back the returned merchandise. I am now outside the dispute window, and they have no intention of refunding my $100 for merchandise they that took back and is now in their inventory. The money does not hurt me but the lack of integrity, demeaning attitude, and service I just have to share.

At the store, Ken was knowledgeable, friendly, and generally awesome. The installers were prompt, courteous, and answered all my questions. My experience was fantastic, and I recommend Great Southeast Flooring America to everyone.

We had carpeting removed in 3 rooms. They only sent one installer to do all the work. We were told a crew would come and be done in 2 and half day. Well with one person it took over a week and the floor was dirty. Not at all pleased with the work.

Ken was awesome. My mom, 96 had a flood resulting from the water sprinkler system shooting into a partially closed bedroom window which ended up ruining furniture and the carpet in the dining room. Sounds crazy but the damage was done before recognized. Ken was at the house 3-4 times with carpet pieces; styles and colors before making a choice. Also helped to arrange moving all furniture out and back in to complete the job. I’d definitely recommend this company, and was Great full for the hard work and a job well done.

OVERPRICED!!! Charged $2000 for just removing tile and installing new tile in one bathroom. Removed and disposed 4-5 yr old glass shower door that was reusable. Was told that where it was attached was rotted. NOT TRUE - I had another company out to look at it and said it could be reusable
Further, the previously installed handicap bars were NOT put back up for my Mother (87)
Was told it was not part of the estimate. Now I have to hire someone else to do it
I would NOT recommend this company. Again, they took advantage of my Mother and overcharged. Still waiting for itemized detail of costs. EXTREMELY POOR customer service

We clearly communicated in writing on the sales order (that you, and not your mother, approved and signed) the total amount, the scope of the job and the fact that we do not install shower doors. Our installer hauled the old door away at the request of your mother. Please contact us directly and we would be glad to discuss this in more detail.

Jo, our sales rep, did a great job showing us a plethora of different options and explaining the pros and cons of each. We finally found one we loved and in no time, Steve’s crew installed the new flooring. A great experience all around, we are very happy with our new floor!

We used Flooring America when we replaced the old carpet in our new home and we could not be happier. Ken Green was our contact, and he was extremely knowledgeable and patient while we looked at many, many different tiles and carpets before making our decision. He explained the difference in the products and was always patient while we looked at a lot of different tiles. His installers very efficiently removed the old carpet and laid the new flooring in one day. The follow-up visit from Ken to ensure everything was done right was both welcomed and appreciated. We are very happy with this company and will not hesitate to use them again when the time comes.

We just had our luxury vinyl floors installed. They’re beautiful and I love them. I highly recommend Flooring America. Go see Ken if you need flooring. He walked us through the whole procedure and there wasn’t any pressure. He knows his flooring and it was a pleasant experience to work with him. The install was to take 3 days; Jesse and his crew did it in 2 days. They did an excellent job and I’ve never seen guys work so hard. It was a great experience from beginning to end.

The Flooring America store had come highly recommended from a friend, but I was even more impressed with the level of caring and professionalism towards my home furnishings. I had mentioned to the installer that a leg on my dining room was cracked and that when they moved it the leg would fall off. I didn't want them to think that they had broken the table. The two guys turned my table upside down, went out to their truck and returned with a drill, a screw and wood glue. I was amazed. They fixed my table, then removed my old carpet and padding, installed all new padding and carpet and turned my table right side up .I spoke to Mr. Ken Green at the store and mentioned my story. I have been recommending this company ever since. by the way, the carpet is beautiful, installation perfect.

A 3 to 4 day job turned into3 weeks. Seemed like I was always put on the back burner. The bull nose for my floor came in broken. I found that my water shut off vale was broken, and no one bothered to tell me about it. missing some grout in one area. Not enough tile was ordered had to wait for tile to come in. Was offered no compensation . Never heard from the store again. Every time I called my sales man was out of town doesn't work the weekends or fridays. After 4 times of trying to get a hold of someone I gave up

We’re sorry for the experience you’ve shared, however, not all of it is consistent with our records. We did receive a broken bullnose, which we had to reorder. It was actually on back order, which was the reason for the delay. However, once it came in, we were able to complete the job in a few days with everything looking as it should. We are 100 percent focused on delivering excellent customer service and will look into the communication issue you described.
