Penfolds Roofing & Solar

Very unimpressed and would not recommend. I would speak to the quality of the roof but they still haven’t even started the project even though I initially contacting them to do the job a year ago. (I will update the review when the work actually gets done.) It took a lot of persistence on my behalf to actually get a quote and confirm the contract. Their quote appeared professional which is why I chose them. They told me they couldn’t give an exact time on the job being completed but implied it would be done this summer. I have never been contacted by them since I signed the contract and every time I inquire, the time estimate is pushed back by months. Currently they estimate to start my roofing project in late October/early November (but I’m not holding me breath), so my house will be opened and exposed during some of our rainiest weather seasons. They said they will tarp my roof if I get a leak in the mean time but the whole point in getting the roof re-done is to precent any house damage in the first place.

Excellent communication. Roofing and solar crews worked really hard to complete the job. Arrived on time. Very courteous. Left our yard extremely tidy every day. Love our new roof and especially the solar panels. Would definitely recommend this company.

Penfolds roofing replaced our roof 2 years ago. We were impressed by the process they followed and even had separate team to inspect upon the installation of the new roof to provide quality control. It has been a great experience to work with their customer services as well. We recently also had them replaced our skylights. The work was done professionally, clean and neat. We would definitely recommend their services.

Value, Integrity, Professionalism. These are words that I thought I would never think of when it came to this industry, and yet here I am writing them due to the wonderful experience, that I had with the Penfolds family. I had become weary of trying to find a contractor that could assist me with my home roofing project. I had interviewed a number of roofing contractors prior to contacting Penfolds, and had become very uncomfortable with the vagueness of their approach, over pricing and lack of knowledge towards my general questions. With Penfolds, they had redefined what every homeowner wants to experience with a roofing company . This company exhibited true value in the quality and competitive pricing in the variety of their product line. Not only is their workmanship and products guaranteed with a transferable warranty if my home was sold, but they stand behind each home project with integrity. The company is well organized and had displayed professionalism at every level of the process I went through from initial interview, product review, quote, contract review, signing, pre inspection, starting my roof job, daily clean up, daily field supervisor inspection, final job review and closure. From start to finish they were on time and on budget. They acted as a team and pulled together. The crew showed up on the first dry spell in February and had the whole project completed in 6 working days including our shed. One of their workers came on a Saturday and did a fantastic and creative job on that as well. We are very pleased also with the way the payments were handled. I would score 9 out of ten!

I can't say enough about how helpful the Penfolds staff have been! We recently discovered an access point for critters on our roof, and a call to Tumi in the repairs service centre quickly got us help. Within days she had arranged a service call, and Phil and his partner did a wonderful job solving our problem. Phil showed us the close-up pictures of the damaged section, explained how he would customize a repair, and got it done. He also identified a couple of other minor roof issues and had those repaired as well. And all of this under warranty, 9 years after the original installation! Thanks Penfolds!

It was a pleasure working with Penfolds Roofing on replacing my roof. I was impressed with the professionalism of Hamish and the entire Penfolds team including John, the field supervisor, the administrative staff and the installers. Hamish very patiently answered my many questions about the product quality and choices, and he and John jumped in promptly to address an issue with a new bathroom vent I needed to have installed. The installers were respectful and left the site clean and tidy at the end of the project. I appreciated the company's attention to disposing of the old shingles and metal in an environmentally respectful way. I chose the Penfolds product because I wanted a long-lasting fibreglass shingle with rubber durability and copper pellets to resist algae and moss growth. I also appreciated the referral to chimney mason Lawrence of Trend Chimney and Fireplace to repair some damage to my chimneys and replace the caps. Lawrence was meticulous in his work and provided a quality outcome. I am delighted with my lovely, quality roof and would not hesitate to recommend both Penfolds Roofing and Trend Chimney.
