Claw Roofing Specialists

I live in a house that was built in 1967. Claw Roofing did an excellent job on replacing my old worn out leaking tar and gravel roof with a brand new torch-on roof. They expedited the job in view of the fact that it was already leaking and needed immediate replacement -- which was greatly appreciated. The job was done last autumn (2017) – so I have had the benefit of evaluating the roofing job over the winter months as well as through the hottest part of the summer. I can honestly say that the house was warmer and felt cozier over the winter and cooler in the summer thanks to the upgraded insulation. I am also pleased that the rain gutters work properly now. The (hot) crew was very scrupulous in replacing any rotten or deteriorating wood. The installation crew was very friendly, polite and cheerfully answered all my questions as the job progressed. The job was completed on time and the upon completion of the job, the site was thoroughly cleaned up. Peter Gerrard, the company president, who initially discussed all of the available options, prepared the initial estimate and was on site numerous times to ensure the job was done to his high standards. They just completed the job last week so this is not a long term review. I was impressed with the quality of work during the installation process. Between the two brothers they seem to have a good process for checking and verifying each other's work so that any mistakes were caught right away. They were recommended to me by a friend and in turn I would not hesitate to recommend them as well. They replaced a low pitch tar and gravel roof for us and significantly increased the R value in the process. They seem to know the low pitch/cathedral ceiling roofing systems well. I think communication could be improved a bit on timing and progress etc, but it was better than most other contractors that have done work for me.

We contacted a number of companies and found the quote that Claw gave us to be competative, slightly lower that some. Peter's explanation of the process and how it would benefit us was helpful in making our decision. Work was completed promptly. One of the things we really appreciated was that if Peter said he or his staff would be there, they were and on time. He let us know if he was going to be held up and a little late, a quality that we would like to see more of in other businesses.

I run a Dayhome and Claw had no problem doing the work on a weekend when it's closed. They completed the work very quickly, did a quality job and the most impressive part was the clean up. I did not find 1 nail or 1 piece of garbage! The employees were also friendly and professional.

Claw Roofing is the real deal. I was replacing an old tar and gravel roof. Peter was excellent from the very first meeting. The process was patiently explained. Be warned there is a bit of sticker shock when it comes to the cost of replacing a tar and gravel roof. That's the reality. The roof was completed in 3 days. The crew was a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time and put in a full day's work. They were personable and polite. When the job was all done and the yard cleaned up, you couldn't tell there had been two dumpsters of tar and gravel removed.

I really enjoyed using Claw roofing. Peter is an honest hard working roofer, who walks the talk. His team did an excellent job on a roof replacement for us. The house even looks newer with the nice new roof on it. They dropped off the shingles on Monday, and I was paying him for the job on Friday. They left the yard clean and did not make a mess. Claw provided a price-match to a quote we received from someone else. They came and were mindful that life was still going on inside and around our home. They cleaned up after themselves and finished on time. The work looks good to me and they provide a 10 yr warranty. I was pleased with their services and professionalism. I would definitely recommend and although we hope to not need another roof for a min 30years... if we outlive our roof, I would hire them again.
