Since 1949, ABC has served Texas customers and has become the largest independently owned and operated pest control company in the state. My dad and mom started an ABC branch in 1965 in San Antonio, Texas, and we started ABV Houston in May of 1985. We pulled into Houston with a U-Haul truck, found an apartment and started our office. I spent my days cold calling hospitals and restaurants and my nights were spent servicing the accounts that I sold. My wife, Kim, had to stay in the apartment all day waiting for the phone to ring. Her highlight of the day was when I got home and she was able to take a walk outside to the mailbox! But here we are 30 years later, and it’s all been great and more than worth it.
