I hope you are well.
I am sorry to see that you are still so unhappy after almost two years. I tried very hard to work with you and am truly sorry that I cannot add you to my list of satisfied clients, many of whom are right in your neighborhood.
Unfortunately, we do not see eye to eye on these events. The main problem all along was that you wanted a $200,000 renovation and could only afford $150,000. You were unwilling to accept the sacrifices that had to be made to keep the job at this price. I did leave your job after much soul searching. I tried to leave it amicably and fairly, allowing enough money for you to finish the project, and I thought we had done that. I thought this was a good conclusion for a difficult relationship.
For the record, I paid the subcontractors for the work they had done while I was the general contractor; of course you had to pay them for completion. You also had to pay the subcontractors you hired without consulting me. I am still on good terms with all my subcontractors. As for the bathroom, it is beautiful and is fully functional. I acknowledge that my tile subcontractor did make a mistake and we met with you to try to resolve this. I offered to take the floor up and do it again but you refused. I met with your husband on several occasions to try to resolve this issue.
I hope you will not continue to try to tarnish my reputation and my business, which has provided for my family for 28 years. I have no ill will for you. I have tried to resolve every issue with you in a fair and amicable way and would truly like for you and Bill to be happy. You have a beautiful home. I hope you can enjoy it and live there in peace.
Wishing you and Bill health and happiness,
R & R Morano
