Alan is a very knowledgeable and skilled kitchen and furniture designer, builder, and installer. His clients' comment that he is "perseonable, honest, and talented." Alan has over thirty years of experience in custom furniture and cabinetry design, building, and installation. His academic career culminated in a BFA from RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), where he studied under world-renowned Danish furniture builder Tage Frid. After a few decades of experience building custom racing sailboats and designing and building custom kitchens with custom kitchen companies, Alan formed KDA Kooris Design Associates LLC. Kooris Design Associates LLC brings a wealth of design and construction knowledge to its clients. Alan utilizes CAD design drawings along with hand-done drawings to help his clients visualize their projects. Alan can design more than kitchens, he can produce beautiful baths, home entertainment centers, offices, libraries or any cabinetry you might need for your home. Alan can also offer his clients any type of countertop surface along with full service installation. Alan Kooris designed and installed our remodeled kitchen during the Summer of 2015. He brought skill, care and reliability to the job. He worked with my wife and me to figure out what we wanted, and made useful suggestions. He cut and placed an elaborate, unique backsplash of textured rhombus tiles that took him well beyond the call of duty. He paid close attention to detail, and charged very fairly for the work he performed. My wife and I have since hired Alan to work on our upstairs bathrooms. We recommend him unreservedly.

Kooris Design provided assistance and consultation regarding the design of a complete remodeling of our kitchen. Also, the installation of cabinets, appliances and counter tops; all done professionally and to our satisfaction. Especially notable about Kooris Design was the expertise in the unique challenges of integrating new kitchen components into a one hundred and thirty year old house. Our kitchen is now the showcase of our home, we love it and we receive compliments on a regular basis.

Alan Korris and Company completed several projects at our home. He designed, ordered and installed our Kitchen and he built our fabulous porch roof and when we had a door needed replacement he was there intermediary and stayed till the job was done. He also remodeled the half bath with a new cabinet and vessel sink. My wife and i both felt Alan seeks to provide his customers what they want and great service. Peter

We hired Alan of Kooris Design Associates based on his years of experience and knowledge. When we met with him, he listened carefully to what we wanted and what our style was. He came up with a beautiful design for our wet bar in our family room. When we have company over, we always receive many compliments on how gorgeous our wet bar is. We were so pleased his work, we hired him to do a couple more projects. The second project was coming up with an idea/design for our mudroom. He created and installed a space for our jackets to be hung, cubbies for our shoes, and shelves for baskets to keep mittens and hats in. We love having a place for everything. The third project was to build kitchen cabinets above our stove to match the rest of the kitchen. He did an amazing job! You would never know they weren't there when we moved in. To top it off, he is extremely clean and neat. We also always felt comfortable with him in our home. He is a highly skilled master carpenter and artist.

We have been serial house buyers and renovators. Over the last few decades we have bought, renovated and sold more homes than one should. Several houses ago I retained Kooris Design to design and install a gourmet kitchen. They did a great job. A decade ago, we built a modern house in the woods and again retained Kooris design. They designed and built a kitchen, master bathroom, built-ins in the Master Bedroom and Living room. Again, brilliantly designed and meticulously installed. Most recently I retired and we moved to the shore and built again (hopefully for the last time). Alan was good enough to travel down here, again coming up with great designs and meticulous installation. We unreservedly recommend Kooris Design.

Alan Kooris designed and built a modest renovation of our existing kitchen cabinets and counters. Alan was able to match the materials in a tasteful manner. The renovation work was executed efficiently, the results were attractive and blended with the existing kitchen beautifully. We would recommend Alan and use his services again.
