Hudson Valley Renovations

We hired Hudson Valley Renovations/David Callas to renovate a full bathroom In let Feb/March 2022. We were very pleased and satisfied working with them. Dave is highly knowledgeable about construction, with alot of experience and provided us with a detailed proposal that we discussed and approved. David Callas and his crew are very reliable and professional. The work was done in a timely fashion and included a tiled shower, tiled floor, new medicine chest and toilet plus painting. The workers are highly skilled and David was responsive to all questions we had in the process. A few years ago my parents had their downstairs renovated and it turned out beautiful. Dave and his crew were very professional and courteous. Approximately 2 years ago when a hurricane hit the area I had a tree come thru my living room ceiling and I didn't know what to do. My father suggested that I call Dave. I called and the next day he was out with a crew to repair the holes in my roof. My entire livingroom had to be redone and it turned out better than I could ever imagine. His crew was so nice and Dave always answered all my calls and concerns. I have since had him come back and do other work and it has always been very high quality. I would highly recommend him!

We used Dave for a complete home renovation. The project(s) included a complete kitchen redesign, the addition of two bathrooms, the renovations of two other bathrooms, wood floor replacements, a basement completion to include a family room and bedroom, a large deck rebuild and expansion, wood floor replacements, stair and railing replacements, a fireplace replacement and the addition of a bi-fold door. We are extremely pleased. The project took a year and over that time everyone that came to our house was respectful, friendly and hard working. All of this took place during a pandemic with global supply chain issues. He and his crew were able to identify issues with the house as it was built and addressed each one. Have recommended him to several friends who are equally as pleased.

Dave and his team are the best!!! I first used HV Renovations over four years ago to renovate an investment property, and loved their work so much, that I used them again for a new property. I highly recommend them to friends, family and anyone who needs a super talented, thorough, efficient, reliable and honest team who go above and beyond to get the job done the correct way. Dave and his team’s passion and pride are evident in their beautiful work, not to mention they are such a pleasure to work with. They are my go-to renovator team!!!

We utilized Dave and his crew about 16 years ago on a kitchen. Relatively good job. It really helped sell our former home. I called Dave again for our new home on a complete remodel. Not happy in anyway shape or form. We started the process in February 2021 to this date November 2021. And I say not done because we are still awaiting the proper shelves for the large pantry. $27,000+ later and still not done. And we wouldn’t even be at this point if it wasn’t for another contractor building a deck for me that found someone to do the granite countertops otherwise we would still be waiting for the countertops. What he couldn’t do in 6 weeks my other guy got done in 3 days. Someone to come out and measure and install in less than a week. He screwed up the plan from the get go. He ordered cabinets too big and left no space for the correct sized crown molding. I now the straw that broke the camels back is when I politely reach out to you and you “ghost” me is it. I’ve had colleagues, neighbors, family and friends that loved the kitchen but I never would recommend Dave. My wife had a colleague who owned a very old home near us that wanted a complete redo but no way could we recommend HV Renovations. Even if you are working on something the proper and correct way in keeping your 2 time customer up to date is with a simple text back even if it’s a lie that you are working on something. My wife texted him October 29th and still nothing. I highly recommend NOT utilizing this business. I will be glad to give other specifics that failed on this job.

Hudson Valley Renovations do great work. Dave Callas and his tremendous staff are the best at what they do. They renovated my bathroom, built a new deck, and built a brand new patio on my property. Work is completed in a timely manner and Dave communicates with you every step of the way. My highest recommendation!

Dave Callas and his crew are absolutely the best I've ever had working on my house in the 23 years I've lived here. It's an old house with many quirks and I needed a bathroom remodel which was a little tricky regarding plumbing and space for the type of shower my daughter had planned. Dave and his crew took care of everything expertly within a week. I was most impressed by the fact that his crew would not install sub-par material my daughter and I had gotten elsewhere. I've dealt with contractors in the past who would just put up whatever materials they were given and consider it my problem when things didn't work. No such nonsense with Hudson Valley Renovations. It was a pro job from first to last, Dave keeps in constant contact and we couldn't be happier with the final product. It's now a lovely bathroom, fully functional, with zero drama and zero headaches. I've already hired them for another job taking care of staining my deck and fence. Wouldn't use anyone else going forward.

Dave and his workers were nothing but professional, and completed the job in a timely manner. Dave was always available to speak with me about any questions or concerns while they were renovating our kitchen. The price was the lowest out of all the contractors I spoke with, and I would highly recommend Hudson Valley renovations to anyone looking to make changes to their home.

We had HV Renovations remodel and upgrade our master bathroom and closet. It was a redesign of the space and we were extremely happy with the results. The workers that came to the house were neat and professional. The job was completed in a timely manner and the communication with the company, specifically the owner Dave, was outstanding.

Hired as a general contractor for renovating and updating a foreclosed home. The project that was promised in 4-5 months now going on 7. Work to date has been of barely acceptable quality and in many cases not completely finished before moving on to another task. Construction debris has been left on the property for months that needed to be disposed of to avoid fines. Workers show up for two hours and leave because not enough materials were ordered or go to another job. Failed inspections. Constant supervision is required to ensure that the written scope of work is adhered to. Not a good experience by any reasonable and professional measure.

Terrible - eveything he and his team did is falling apart - unfinished craftsmanship - exposed unpainted wood on door frames, doors that they replaced now coming off the hinges 4 months later, prices were 10x others when i bid others out - awful

Dave Callus, the owner, of HV Reno, is simply the most professional, honest, reliable, competent contractor in the business. The quality of his work is superb. Dave is in communication with you throughout the project from beginning to end. He and his team are very knowledgeable and take great pride in their work. I have been the victim of too many incompetent, irresponsible contractors throughout the years. Dave is a breath of fresh air.
