We had a relatively small home improvement job but were totally lost on how to move forward. Phyllis stepped in and saved us. She gave great design advice and lined up and managed the professionals we needed to get our project finished. It turned out beautifully!

We first met Phyllis when she did a total interior/exterior color consultation at our house She has a real talent for color. Phyllis took time to listen to our ideas, presented options for appealing color combinations and helped us agree on a fabulous color scheme (inside and out) that we are both very happy with now that all the painting is done. We then hired Phyllis for a minor kitchen project, replacing our kitchen countertop, sink and backsplash. My wife saw in Phyllis’s brochure a butcher block countertop and fell in love with it. I had been on a tour of Pratt & Larsen and wanted to purchase their tile. We had never had contractors work in our house before, so this was a new experience. There were a few bumps along the way but we worked through them. The crews were courteous, on time and professional, taking into account my wife’s work schedule. Overall Phyllis did an excellent job, and we would hire her again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen, and we had no idea where to start. Our house is a very unique mid century modern custom home with a challenging floor plan. We wanted a different design for our kitchen with a more open concept. Phillis was able to design a classy kitchen that worked perfectly for our house. I needed a repair on a kitchen makeover and flooring throughout. Being a professional procrastinator I did not arrange to have a trusted designer help us with the details of this project. I should have called, I could have called, I would have called Phyllis Eastman, but I procrastinated my way out of it. We live with details gone awry. Phyllis is a trusted designer, current on the trends, and I would definitely pick up the phone if I could do it all over again.

We purchased a home in Portland, OR last year. The living room is dark, so it needed brightening up with off-whites. We wanted the other rooms to have various colors. I was getting rather tired of going back and forth to the paint store trying out different shades and not getting anywhere. We felt overwhelmed and our painters were wondering if we would ever make up our minds. That's when I found Phyllis Eastman. Phyllis patiently listened to what we wanted, brought out a number of chips and we very quickly came up with what we thought would work. It was so easy, thanks to her. By the way, I would never have painted our guest washroom purple, but she recommended it and it looks great!

My wife, Janet reached out to Phyllis and Karla to update our house. They were wonderful to work with and brought a new personality and updated feel to our house. Janet has since passed away and I am very happy to be the one to write this referral. The project took four+ months. They added new wood floors in the living room, dining room and family room, removed the outdated grasscloth wallcovering in all rooms and had a custom texture applied to all. A small, difficult space, that originally was to be a 3rd bathroom/laundry room off the family room, made the family room dark and crowded. By removing the small room and moving a doorway, the family room is open and more inviting. They transformed the guest bath into a wonderful space, the “piece de resistance”, Janet would say. New architectural lighting in all rooms now highlights the art. Phyllis and Karla did a great job taking our ideas into consideration and creating a great space to entertain in or just hang out. I would highly recommend them as they worked hard to bring the project in on time and worked with our budget. We added some features along the way and they easily incorporated them into the project.

Three years after we finished our kitchen remodel my husband and I still are so happy with the way our kitchen looks and functions. Karla gets much credit for helping us create a beautiful kitchen in a small space. She was extremely patient working with a client that had so many ideas while trying to keep us on budget. Not only is Karla an interior designer but she also has a contractor's license and that can really come in handy when dealing with tearing down a wall or reworking electrical outlets. Karla was also really easy to work with and we shared plenty of laughs

Phyllis was great to work with. She spent 2 hours going over colors for the exterior my home. My home is a very large 1920's home with lots of detail. I wanted the house to be period and colorful. She worked with me to figure out what colors I liked and what colors worked well together.

I hired Phyllis from this company to help me select interior paint colors for a 1913 house we just purchased. She was delightful to work with. She paid attention to my very vague ideas of what I wanted and was able to suggest colors that met that vision. She also provided useful decor and furnishing ideas. I recommend her highly!
