As an Architect who works with Custom Construction and Remodeling, Inc. on a regular basis, I can strongly recommend CCR for your residential remodeling and general construction needs. I have worked with CCR since 2010 and I hope to continue our longstanding relationship. Steve is very engaged in the entire process and is very attentive to matching client needs and budget by working with his clients to select materials so that he can prepare an accurate bid. He is honest and open in his communication and he follows through to make sure the job is done right. CCR is at the top of my list of contractors when my clients are looking for a reliable contractor.

Steve and his team were wonderful to work with. I was close with this project and had many great experiences in getting what we wanted in our home. They are professional, direct, friendly and have a great work ethic.

Steve's depth of experience, attention to detail and planning have made each job we've been on with him an absolute delight, easy and timely to complete, as well as fun. Custom Construction tackled a tough project with the renovation of this 1930's historic commercial building, transforming it into a church. They worked with us closely with the bank and stayed on budget. They had great subs that did quality work. We still can't believe we own such a space to worship in.

After several bids we hired Steve to gut our kitchen and take a wall out to open it to the living and dining room. I knew exactly how I wanted the layout and design to be. Steve was great in seeing my vision and talking over a couple layout changes he thought would work better for us and he was right. The wall we removed was load bearing so Steve and his engineer had several conversations about the best options that would be less expensive and looked good. All of the subcontractors Steve uses are absolutely fantastic! They were very friendly and took pride in doing a good job and cleaning up the job site. We had new ceiling installed in the kitchen, new cabinets, new flooring, can lights and other lighting, electrical outlets, tiling, Quartz countertops installed along with appliances, moldings and a tv. We also had a metal wall put in that Steve was able to have made for the area. Steve worked within our budget, which was not an easy task and was always thinking of a way to make things look good. We have already let Steve know of our next project and would definitely recommend him for your remodeling needs.

We chose Custom Construction and Remodeling to build our new home, after interviewing several contractors. We worked with an architect, and it was a complicated project involving many details, and multiple changes along the way. Not only did Steve manage this complicated project with patience and skill, but he and his crew went over and above in their level of craftsmanship and sincere concern that the job be done right. Our budget was adhered to, and the house was only completed a little after deadline, which is expected in the construction industry since unforeseen circumstances always occur. Perhaps the greatest recommendation that we can give Steve is that his concern has extended past the completion of the house (which we love), and he has been willing to help us with issues that have come up since we moved in (not due to any lack of care on his part). This shows that he has a true commitment to quality. At this point we consider Steve and his family friends.

CCR was hired to rebuild a cabin on US Forestry land near Mt. Hood. Cabin was expanded from 900 sq. ft to 1400 sq. ft. CCR helped us work with US Forestry Service to receive permission to rebuild cabin as this took several months and meeting to get approval from different Forestry employees. They allowed family to assist in deconstruction of old cabin before beginning new foundation work. They were able to get cabin framework and roof on before fall rains arrived so moisture would not be a problem for construction. Main floor was enlarged to increase size of kitchen and to add a bedroom. Second floor we added a bedroom, 1/2 bath and a large open space. Materials used was blue pine for walls on first floor and a cedar ceiling on second floor. Kitchen cabinets were made of hickory with synthetic counter tops from Home Depot. Floors were laminate for both floors and a wood laminate for bedrooms. CCR was able to reuse old aluminum roof for half of the cabin roof. CCR put in a new deck and we hired Rail Pro to put in a metal and wire railing CCR taught family how to place laminate on floor, install insulation in ceiling, walls and floor. Family did all the interior painting and staining of most of the exterior panels. Quality of work by CCR was excellent and we worked closely with them and only had a few change of orders. There were a couple of times we thought it took longer than needed to finish parts of construction. I would recommend them if someone asked and again quality of work was top notch.

Steve was very professional and completed our 512' addition on time. They added on to the back of our home and created a larger master bedroom, laundry room and larger kitchen and family rooms. CCR'S subs do great work. We are very happy with our addition. Steve helped out a young friend of ours who was trying to do a remodel on his own and also plained some old boards for us to do a barn door project. He did this without any charge. Steve is a pretty easy person to work with. My one complaint would be a lack of communication. I would give CCR 4.5 stars. I don't give 5 stars because I believe there is always room for improvement.
