Cascade Renovation

We just finished our owners bath remodel with Cascade. For this job we chose to use a general contractor, we usually just hire subs ourselves because most of what we have done in the past has been surface updates, etc. But with this job being more involved than that, and with supply chain issues and contractor shortages being what they are, we decided to use a general. The worst thing about dealing with construction jobs is the fact that it seems nearly impossible to find contractors who know how to communicate. We went with Cascade because in the bid process Jessica showed us how she prepares a written timeline showing start and completion dates, including the daily schedule of when every sub will be there for their portion of the job. But once the job starts you never know if people are going to deliver the way they say they will. Many of the reviews for this company on Houzz mention what a great job Jessica does. Add ours to that list. Once we signed, she coordinated with her subs, and soon we had a detailed timeline of how the job would proceed. Before the job started she had extensive protection installed for our stairs and flooring that would have heavy construction traffic for the next two months. Once construction got going, everything went as detailed in the timeline. But the most impressive part was Jessica's communication skills. She regularly called to remind us when contractors were coming. If we had questions she responded in a timely manner. When we had small hiccups, she walked us through the choices and kept the job on time and on budget. It is important to mention the subs too. They showed up when they were supposed to and they all did excellent work. We now have the bathroom we have always wanted for our home. Thanks to Cascade, Jessica and all the subs on our job.

Because of advancing age and our desire to age in place, my wife and I decided to remodel our house. The goal was to bring all we needed to live the life we wanted onto one floor, making it accessible to us in case we used a walker or a wheelchair --- both of which were at least possible for us soon. We investigated several companies that did remodeling work, including one (Cascade Renovations) that did a remodel in our neighborhood and whose workmen struck us as doing good work. We interviewed a couple of companies, including Cascade Renovations, and were struck by their openness, willingness to show previous work, and the description of their remodel process. Cascade Renovations indicated they often worked closely with a designer (Sharon Olson of Designer’s Edge) and suggested we interview her as well. As a result of these interviews, we chose Cascade Renovations for the work. This involved (among other things) moving an outside door, restructuring an office space, bringing the laundry up from the basement, and enlarging a bathroom and making both toilet and shower facilities accessible to someone in a wheelchair. Jessica Sandberg from Cascade Renovations introduced us to the subcontractors, drew up the timeline for the work (namely, when deconstruction of the old facility would begin, when framing the new structures would begin, etc.) and pointed out potential problems (for example, possible presence of asbestos that might need to be removed). Jessica introduced each subcontractor as their work began; the subcontractors were courteous, wore masks indoors because of Covid, were hardworking and did excellent quality work. The entire project proceeded as initially outlined, although variations in plans were made, for example, because of supply issues. The project stayed on schedule, and within budget except for changes that we approved. We have been using the ADA compliant facilities and are very pleased with the final product. We would certainly use Cascade Renovations again and we recommend them for your consideration.

We just finished our 3rd project with Cascade - and this one was BIG! Kitchen down to the studs, moved the gas stove, took down a wall, put up a different wall. Custom cabinets, tile work, huge island and pantry - the works! We took down another wall between the dining room and living room to create an open flow. And new floors EVERYWHERE. Speaking of floors, when the installer came with the flooring, it was obvious I chose the wrong color. Jessica took care of it - made the calls, ordered the correct flooring, and rearranged the schedule (how complicated that is) so the overall length of the project was not impacted! We also threw another curveball at her, after the project had started, we asked if we could replace a window with a French door. She got that arranged before the finish work - when people walk into the house, it's the first thing they see and they are all amazed! Then they see the rest of the house and cannot believe the transformation, it's now a warm and lovely home! THANK YOU JESSICA, EMILY and everyone at Cascade!! And now, onto the bathrooms!! :). The project was nearly 16 weeks, during a pandemic - we felt safe, everyone wore masks, and it was a very tidy workspace, every day.

My first kitchen remodel was a complete success and I attribute that to the great team at Cascade Renovation. From start to finish Jessica and her team were professional, timely, and responsive. They approached the job with a thorough plan and budget that stayed on track and on time. The quality of the work that was performed was excellent and a couple of minor fixes were taken care of immediately. I really appreciated Jessicas' proactive communication and problem-solving skills. I have recommended CR to other friends and I look forward to using them again on my next project!

We could not have asked for a better remodeling experience than with Jessica and the Cascade Renovation team. They exhibited professionalism, craftsmanship, collaboration and enthusiasm for our 4-1/2-month project from start-to-finish. Jessica kept the project on-time and in-budget . . . in the midst of the COVID pandemic. We selected Cascade for a BIG down-to-the-studs remodel of most of our main level: a complete demo of the dated and boxy kitchen, family room, office, and two bathrooms, along with corresponding updates of paint, millwork and hardwood floor refinishing in the rest of the main level. Jessica was with us every step of the way for almost 1-1/2 years (!) as we started out with one vision, pre-COVID, and, over time, reconsidered our needs and chose to grow the scope of our project. She was patient, knowledgeable and resourceful as she partnered with our independent interior designers to guide us through concept and execution. We chose to live, work, and attend school from the lower level of our home during the entire project (minus hardwood floor refinishing). Jessica, Cascade staff, and their team of truly outstanding sub-contractors made this as seamless as possible. Matt, Cascade’s general contractor, is skilled, trustworthy, hardworking, and friendly and upbeat. Cascade’s established relationships with its subcontractors is evident in the quality of the work completed and their responsiveness to our questions and requests. In the end we got exactly what we dreamed of for 20 years: quality craftsmanship resulting in a gorgeous, functional, and updated space. It feels like a new home in the neighborhood we love. We hired Cascade Renovation to do a kitchen makeover specifically changing the granite, backsplash, pantry door and cabinet hardware. I've done a number of renovations in my time and this one was by far the best experience I've ever had. Jessica and her team were wonderful to work with. The thing I liked the most is that they made us feel like this wasn't just another job. The team took a personal interest in making sure all aspects of the project were handled with care and professionalism. I highly recommend Cascade Renovation and will not hesitate to use them in the future.

We had our kitchen remodeled earlier this year. We hired a designer for the layout (shout out to Designers Edge for the excellent layout!) and hired Cascade to complete the remodel. The scope included new flooring, cabinets, lighting, countertops, appliances and the removal of a wall between the kitchen and dining room. Upfront, Steve and Jessica provided a detailed timeline so we knew what to expect each week. The subcontractors Cascade used were both professional and excellent and Jessica made sure the project kept on the timeline. We are now six months past completion and are still very happy with the quality of work in our kitchen and would not want to change a thing. I would not hesitate to use Cascade for any future projects!

They are the best! Cascade was referred to me by my sister in-law who had worked in the industry and had previously worked with Cascade. I immediately felt at ease and comfortable with both Steve and Jessica. They were professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, responsive and accommodating to any and all requests...and always with a positive attitude and sense of humor. We initially asked them to complete a smaller project which included the removal of a fireplace and hard-wired wall sconces. The project was reasonably priced, high quality, professional and completed on scheduled. When it came to completing our kitchen and powder bath remodel, basically the entire first level of our home, there was no question that we wanted them to complete this for us. Our kitchen/powder bath remodel took two months and was completed on-time, three days before Christmas, allowing us to move back in to our home and enjoy the holidays in our new kitchen. I have nothing but great things to say about them and their subs who were all fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We'll be asking them back when we complete our master and guest bathroom remodels in the very near future!

We were so happy to have found a contracting company that we could trust from start to finish. Steve and Jessica are a great team and have an excellent team of sub-contractors to come in and do their parts. Everyone working for them were professional and very friendly and stayed on task doing the job. I have nothing bad to say about this company. We hired them to do our main bathroom in the house and we will definitely use them again for any future remodeling needs. If I could give them more than 5 Stars I would.

What a great group to work with. We hired Cascade to remodel our kitchen, replace our first floor, widen entryway hallway and add an entryway closet last fall (2017). Our project was scheduled to be complete the Friday before Christmas. Steve and Jessica were right on task and had a detailed schedule for us showing exactly what was going on each day. We were able to celebrate Christmas with our fabulous new kitchen! We worked with them on getting the best price for our project. Steve went out of his way to contact other contractors for better prices. All the contractors that worked with Steve were excellent. The tile installer even suggested for us to pick a different tile color than what we originally picked based on counter top color. We are so pleased with the new tile color we decided to go with and are grateful for his advice. I cannot say enough about what a great job Cascade did for us. We are still enjoying our new kitchen a year later!

We hired Cascade Restoration & Remodeling to remodel our kitchen, master bathroom, second bathroom and laundry room. The project finished on time and budget. We are pleased with the results. Steve did exactly what was in the contract and kept pretty much to the schedule he gave us at the start of the project. He was always very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Jessica is organized and was good at communicating with us. We would work with them again.

My husband and I purchased a home last September and wanted to make improvements to various parts of the home while there were existing problem areas that needed attention. Steve Pruitt was recommended to us by our real estate agent. Best recommendation ever!! Steve and his team have been there every step of the way.
