DP DOOR COMAPANY

I am the owner, Our vice president (Terry) and I was employed by a large door company over 35 years ago. He was still in high school and I had just graduated. We did side jobs for customers since the company did not do installations. Soon installing became my full time job. In 1991 my nephew (Brent) and I opened a store in the Sunrize Shopping Center in Rancho Cucamonga. Terry had gone on to be a very powerful and well known purchasing agent for the big door company. During the recession of the late 80's early 90's that company closed and Terry came to work with me. Terry came onboard with me to help organize things. Once we got things rolling I finally hired Shirley who I had been wanting to hire for a decade. Previously I couldn't give her enough hours to try to hire her good employment at a retail lumber and hardware company. I told her boss I wanted to hire her and I wouldn't normally try to hire away someone from him but "I had dibs on her for a long time". She accept my offer and has been running our office for about 20 years now. Brent Is the guy that is out there with the installers, installing and training the next great installers. My wife does the books and I clean the shop. Overall we have a great crew.
