Jim has been a prominent painting and waterproofing contractor in the sarasota area since 1984. He partnered with his cousin and helped transform a small house painting company, Glasswood Contractors, into one of the area’s leading residential and commercial painting contractors.During the 1990’s Jim started J.L.Watson Painting and Waterproofing Contractors, Inc. which became one of only three companies to be state certified as a WeatherFlex Commercial Waterproofing contractor specializing in high-rise commercial waterproofing and painting. After multiple hurricanes had caused water intrusion damage to homes, even though they did not loose their windows, doors, or roofs. Jim began to concentrate his talents on the weatherizing of homes. Jim cares about the people of Southwest Florida and desires to help people weather the intense storms with greater protection and peace of mind. This concern for his neighbors and his growing expertise led jim to join Pruett Builders, Inc. to build an exclusively new custom painting and protective weatherization system. In early 2007, Jim decided to personally equip the residents of Southwest Florida with the original Weatherizer Protective System by launching Watson Premier Painting.
