Splat Paint and Design

I highly recommend Splat Paint. They are a group of true artisans who are able to bring any of your design wishes to life. They can mimic absolutely any surface you dream up and, if you can't express your vision, they can come up with ideas and visual design samples to help you. They are also very clean and tidy and work to minimize disruption to your life while they work in your home. Splat Paint has completed 5 projects for me with several more in the works. Do not hesitate to use Splat Paint - you won't go wrong and you will be amazed at your results!

Tom, the owner of Splatt Paint & Design is unbelievably talented and is really fantastic, as is his team. Their work is absolutely gorgeous! I had been referred to Tom from by an interior designer whom I trust. I was looking to have my foyer lime washed. I called Tom and he arranged to come over to show my husband and me his most impressive portfolio of his past work and of the kinds of specialty finishes that he and his team can do. Tom is a delightful man. You meet him and just want to work with him. Most important is that as he went through each page of his portfolio to show us the kind of work Splatt creates, my husband and I were amazed at the varied types of finishes that are even available and of the quality of his work. In this portfolio he showed us all types of gorgeous textured finishes, Roman clay, and some which were beautiful paintings, art with that it was possible to have painted on a wall. He was there to show us the kinds of things they can do on walls in a home, but stated that these finishes could be also used in commercial spaces, that they had even done beautiful logos, painted scenes/art work and other work on the outside of buildings. He also does beautiful restorative and design work. We ultimately decided to back burner the more precious paint techniques ( to revisit them for other home walls) and to go with the limewash for our foyer because we wanted to do something that could easily be removed without major sanding as we thought we might change our style in the foyer over time. Once we decided to do the limewash, Tom had us look at the limewash colors on the Portola Paints (sp)? website for color ideas and the interior designer we were working with ordered samples of all the limewash colors that we wanted to see on paper. We then chose one and Tom ordered the limewash and handled everything from there. On the day of the limewash, Tom and another gentleman arrived on time and just as scheduled to limewash our foyer. This was an easy job for them as a good amount of his work is quite detailed and more time consuming. They took as long as tom had prior indicated to complete the work. Tom had told us that the darker the color limewash, the more movement you see on the walls, in the space. Knowing this, we still went with a lighter color limewash as that went with the California Casual look we were trying to create in that space. Our foyer now looks gorgeous, exactly as we had hoped it would look, as a result of the limewash backdrop created by Tom and Co. I highly recommend Tom & his team for any & all of the specialty painting and finish work that they do. They are extremely talented Wall artists and Splatt Paints and Tom are highly recommended by top interior designers for all of your specialty finish and design needs. Call him and ask to see his work. You will be impressed with his work and with him. JUST DO IT!

Tom Henman has an impressive portfolio of designs and completed projects. Our experience was the first time we used him, although he had come highly recommended from trusted sources. He showed my wife and I relevant examples of designs and projects similar to the one we were contemplating. Our project was completed within the month of our first meeting. The work, a gold leaf inset in our dining room ceiling, was done in two days. The result is beautiful! I would highly recommend Tom.

My wife and I have been working on a whole home renovation and have had 35+ contractors work on our job since the start. Tom and his team at Splat Paint & Design are at the top of our list in terms of the experience and finished product. From start to finish, everything went exactly as planned and we could not be happier. It is very tough to find any contractor that can pull off what they promise, but Tom and his team did just that. If we had to do it all over again, we would have brought Tom in sooner and likely had more areas of our home done with his work. We have been renovating for nearly two years and were introduced to Splat Paint & Design near the end. We wanted something very creative on the walls of a specialty room in our home. They used a product called Roman Clay plaster and the results make it hard not to stand in the room and stare at the walls. I highly recommend Splat Paint & Design for your next project.

Working with Tom from Splat Paint and Design is great! I have already completed two different projects with them and we have already signed up for another one! Both times the experience was great. We went back and forth testing out different materials options, application techniques, coming up with multiple samples to make sure the client was happy! You can see his passion for his work, which is why the end result always comes out beautifully! The team is great at what they do, and I will definitely work with them again!!

Five+ stars for Splat Paint. I have used Tom and his crew when he was located in Pa and what a blessing for us that he moved to Fl, close to our home there. Tom and his staff do exceptional work and their creativity is out of this world. There isn't anything they can't do, when it comes to paint and other techniques for finishing your walls and ceilings. Splat has done murals, textured plaster walls, gold and silver leaf ceilings, Venetian Plaster, stenciling, and distressed looks in our homes and hotels. Tom and his team are great, you wont be disappointed.

We wanted to do something special on a hallway wall and create a feature wall in our living room. Tom's portfolio of custom samples was incredible - so many techniques and colors and finishes. He helped me find a venetian plaster finish that would be perfect in the space. Tom and his exceedingly talented Splat Paint team of artists did a phenomenal job. I love my feature walls. The living room is my new favorite place in the house because of Tom's beautiful work. And I'm having him come back to do is magic on the rest of my main floor walls.

My home had me perplexed. It was missing something. Did I need a new color? Wallpaper? What was it? It was Splat Artistic Finishes. Their talented team added a very simple and neutral wall finish that gave the open concept space some needed depth, interest and texture. It also lightened the space significantly without painting the walls all white. It’s classy and looks like a stylish grasscloth wallpaper without all the seams. I love it and loved working their team. Everyone is gifted and just lovely.

I was looking for that special touch for my home and the four layer plaster process that Splatter Paint created is so perfect. They applied the process to two walls in my living room. It created a pn ambiance that set the mood for a chic design. Love it. Then the did a magnificent mural by the pool. But that deserves 5 stars of its own!

Tom was in the process of moving to the Tampa Bay area when I was first considering my paint project. Before hearing about Tom I had reached out to several other painters in the Tampa Bay area and none were courteous enough to return my inquiry. Having heard great things about Tom, I decided he was the one I wanted to hire for my project and it would be worth waiting for him to get settled in the area. He was absolutely well worth the wait. My media room ceiling was solid white tongue and groove. I wanted it to be a bit moody in that room so we discussed using a faux painting technique to make the planks look like old barn wood. During the consultation with Tom he showed me various samples of different techniques and I was just so impressed. We chose a finish that looks like real textured wood; knots and all. Anyone who looks at our ceiling wants to know where we got the old wood. I loved Tom's work so much that while he was here I had him paint the frame of a huge 7 foot by 7 foot mirror I had and I purchased another mirror from him that he had made using an antiquing method. It's stunning! Tom is an incredibly talented artist, professional and friendly. I will never hire anyone but him for future projects.
