Staining and sealing of exterior wood features; docks, decks, fences and more. My experience with staining comes from being a sales and service representative for Ready Seal in the Florida area for 2 years. During that time I trained others on the benefits and application of the product. ReadySeal has been in business since 1992. and the products are sold in the US, Canada and Caribbean. This is the product I use. I decided to start my own company after seeing the need for applicators here in the St. Johns, Duval and Clay Counties. Someone to finish the project after the docks, decks, fences were built. Chick's Docks and Decks, LLC does not only stain seal docks and decks but also fences or other outdoor wood features. This is a hands on company I will be on the job doing the work. (I learned that from my father who was a general contractor and on the site.) As a homeowner I know how aggravating it is for a contractor to not show up, do a job haphazardly, leave waste behind and not finish the job. I promise that you will not have that with me. I complete a job before moving onto another. BENEFITS OF SEALING/STAINING WOOD – Staining is popular for improving the look of outdoor wood projects, but it also has many other practical advantages. In fact, benefits of wood stains include preservation and financial savings over time. Wood manufacturers such as YellaWood recommend that wood be sealed to protect it from the effects of sun and water intrusion. which leads to cracks and splits in the wood, They recommend sealing wood sooner than later. Pressured treated wood today is not the same as it was years ago. Wood is like skin without protection it will age and crack. The best way to protect the wood is with a sealant that has UV protection. The darker the color or stain the greater the UV protection. A penetrating sealer is best for the wood vs one that is a coating that sits on top of the wood. Overtime coatings will peel, chip or flake as water migrates under the coating. By protecting your investment there will be financial savings in the future.
