Tanya has such great vision. My living room and home office needed serious updates. She understood our style, our personality, provided many choices and narrowed the scope as she got to understand our tastes. Tanya never forced a fabric or design idea on us. She gave suggestions and let us pick what worked for us. If a style or combination I migrated toward didn't work, she was honest and explained why she would recommend something else. She has a great network of subcontractors who she trusts and made things like re-upholstery a breeze. Great work, Tanya!

I've used Studio Tanya for multiple design projects throughout my historic home and have been extremely pleased with the experience, the process and most of all, the end result. We started first with a complete redesign and gutting of our master bathroom. We then moved on to our dining room, where we repainted, refinished our existing table and reupholstered the chairs. Next was complete kitchen remodel - our biggest project overall. Everything from the design and layout, to selecting appliances, floors, tiles, cabinets, colors and decorations were all part of this multi-month renovation. Our final redesign was our living room, which included all new furniture selection, paint color, rugs and full decor throughout the main room in our home. For each and every one of these projects, Tanya worked on the big design items as well as the final minor details. She managed each project herself, including the management of any sub-contractors, taking full responsibility for the entire project from beginning to end. Tanya was very communicative throughout the process and always looked at things from my perspective and with my tastes in mind. I absolutely think the value of service provided outweighed the cost and I look forward to starting my next design project with Tanya.

She has done and am confident will always do amazing work. You really can't judge by one dissatisfied customer. Studio Tanya Interior Design boasts, “A full-service interior design firm specializing in residential interior design from conception to completion.” Tanya Hamilton of Studio Tanya did not complete our agreement and abandoned our project completely. We felt compelled to warn you about the type of work you can expect from Tanya Hamilton of Studio Tanya so you don’t end up having to spend thousands of dollars to re-do one of her bathroom renovations while she simply decides to walk away from it when there are problems rather than taking professional responsibility. We worked with Tanya Hamilton from July 2013 through July 2014 on designing our loft. Our work with Tanya was fraught with complications from an early stage. From erroneously ordering the wrong height barstools for our kitchen because she can’t measure (she insisted that we order counter stools instead of bar stools and they arrived too short), to re-measuring the same room on multiple occasions because she didn’t have the measurements with her at any of our meetings…etc. It appears she did not keep a portfolio of our projects with photographs and measurements as she would make such comments as, “What does your bathroom look like again, I don't remember, can you send me a photograph again?” We found Tanya consistently unprepared and constantly wasting our time and money. I requested a 3-D graphic image of what our newly purchased furniture would look like in our home. She charged us $125 for 2 crude blueprints of our living and dining room that looked like they took 5 minutes to produce on a computer and was nowhere near the 3D technology I had in mind. See photographs. A picture tells a thousand words, so please take a look at the photographs of the type of tiling job you can expect from Studio Tanya. Note the sloppy, uneven grout and the shadows casted inside the glass tile that is reflecting light because it wasn’t properly grouted; therefore, allowing light to pass through. The glass tile looked like it had “wet spots” underneath. In the process of trying to remedy the tiled wall, her contractor ended up chipping the glass tile while trying to re-grout it. Tanya told us that this was a “beautiful tiling job and that we were too picky and could not be satisfied.” We were also told by her contractor that in order to appreciate the quality of the tile job, “we needed to step away and gaze upon the wall from a distance like it was a piece of art." We were told not to look at it too closely. Unfortunately even from a distance, the flaws were glaring. We sought second opinions from 3 professionals in the industry who all confirmed that this was a terrible, unprofessional tile and grout job. So after ruining our bathroom and with the renovation still unfinished with no lights, Tanya Hamilton decided to abandon the project and only returned 50% of what we paid for the glass tile, leaving us to re-purchase glass tile and pay to hire someone to do demolition on the wall, rebuild it and then re-tile our wall. We had to hire a plumber and electrician separately as well. The lesson learned here is make sure you that the designer you hire and their contractors they use are licensed, bonded and that you have a contract with them explicating what the expectations of the job are and how will you resolve issues if things go awry.

I worked with Tanya on my lower level remodel. Very early on she learned my style and soon began only bringing a few selections, all of which were perfect for my vision. Very accessible, flexible and conscious about my budget. I would not hesitate recommending Tanya for all jobs, big and small (an have).

I have worked with Tanya over the course of many years and have always found her to be reliable, professional, and able to work with any design scheme you may require. We have done a fairly traditional home, a cottage, to currently a more modern home. She will work within budget and time constraints, and has always given us a polished end product.

I worked with Tanya on a family room remodel as well as our master bedroom. It was fantastic to work with a designer who truly listened to the needs of our family and the functionality of the spaces that we would be utilizing daily. The design was traditional to stay true to the Tudor architecture of our home, but transitional to incorporate the modern elements that we wanted to capture. A true professional and talented designer I look forward to working with Tanya on many projects in the future.

Tanya designed both my office and mancave. She listens to what you're ideas are and presents you with multiple options to choose from based on her own eye for interior design. In both cases she came up with ideas I loved, but would have never thought of myself.

Tanya is working on our first floor renovation and has been great. She is very personable and easily got a sense of our style. I would definitely recommend her for a design project.

Tanya actually did quite a lot of work for me. We added wood floors, granite, new appliances, sinks, cabinet hardware, chair cushions, table runners, three sofas, two chairs, chest, lamp tables, lighting, dining room totally redone, great room totally redone, loft room totally redone, and more. What I liked about Tanya was that she was decorating for me and my style. Some decorators (I have used three others in the past) like to reflect their own style. Tanya figured out quickly what I would like and chose items that reflected my taste. I am extremely pleased with everything. My house is comfortable, and I love my pieces. In addition, she is just a very nice person to work with. I can't imagine anyone not being totally pleased with her and her work.

Tanya is the BEST decorator we've ever worked with. We've done many projects all over the country and Tanya has worked with us on all of them. No matter what the challenge, she always comes thru! She has great design sense. She's fair and hard working. Whether it's modern and traditional, she will bring every project "too life". Highly reccomended.
