LWi Custom Cabinets

I hired LWI Custom Cabinets to fabricate, stain and install cabinets in 11 apartments I was remodeling in Austin. We are long time owners and didn’t want to go the mdf or particle board route due to concerns with water leaks… in the apartments, but we didn’t want some of the higher end options that are standard features in LWI’s standard cabinets for cost saving reasons. We interviewed and shopped several cabinet makers in and around the Austin area and chose LWI. Linda worked with us on design features to meet exactly what we wanted and our price point without compromising her work product. Once we agreed on price and design we most importantly had to discuss timing. This small remodel project included fabricating, staining and installing all the cabinets in 11 apartments where the work had to be complete by a hard deadline. We had preleased the apartments and had tenants moving in. Matthew who runs the shop worked with us and OUR changing install date to make the everything work, he was in contact with us throughout the process. As one might expect with any construction process, there were bumps along the road, but Linda and Matthew worked with me and we finished the project on time. If you’re in the construction business you how critical cabinet installation is to completing the job on time. The cabinets are excellent quality, finished on time and on budget.

Very good overall Cabinet maker. Be prepared to do your share of paperwork review of the working drawings, but this is a good thing to do so you and the shop are both on the same page and you are getting the cabinets you want. Overall quality is good and they did a fine job of installation.

Buyer beware, just stay away. Where do I start? Our cabinets took several weeks to build and then the install took longer than the build. 4 months later we are still asking for punch list items to be corrected. It is quite evident that they do not know what they're doing when it comes to Cabinetry. Our upper cabinets, after being installed, had to be moved, doors were installed on the wrong side, handles were installed crooked, paint is chipping on lower cabinets, the refrigerator did not fit in the Box so they shaved the side and touched up the paint (tacky), our trash can would not work so they asked us to buy a new one, the spice rack still requires continual maintenance so it doesn't fall apart, trim pieces are still missing. Never once did they take ownership of any problems. We spent 16K with them. Terrible experience after saving for new kitchen. Just don't do it! Run far away... UPDATE: I'm really surprised that you think this has anything to do with my flooring. It took your company 4 months to install Kitchen cabinets, something that should not have taken more than 2 weeks Max. I have plenty of photos that I am happy to share with all on our CABINETS. We took pictures all along the way. I have multiple Patched holes in my cabinet doors, chipping paint after just a few weeks of install (which I told you about) and your response was, "oh, that should not be happening". I had my cabinets designed by an excellent cabinet maker in Kentucky and then brought those designs to you. Still you take no responsibility or ownership of the terrible job you did. You did not when you worked for me, nor do you still. I told you that once you had Fully completed my cabinets that I would then leave a review. Thus the 4 month wait, that's how long it took!

Had a great experience with Linda's team. They were flexible, creative, and always available. They accommodated shifting schedules. Any glitches during installation were quickly resolved by her team. They are especially talented at their finishes. I opted for a distressed stained look which is gorgeous. Her painted antiqued and distressed finishes almost made me change my mind they were so well done. THe cabinets are beautiful, rich in color and excellent quality!

I used LWI Cabinets to build a large storage/entertainment unit in my master bedroom. They had a competitive bid (I bid it to three companies). They were turn-key and responsive. The design process was comprehensive - they sent someone out to measure and talk about it. We made some changes, they made those changes. It all went very smoothly. They came and installed it - which was a long and meticulous process. They fit it beautifully in our existing moulding. The paint color and design was just as we had hoped. The installer was very good. He even moved a plug for us. The end result is just as we had hoped. They did have to come out with some shelves they didn't have but that was easy and quick as well. Their staff is very responsive.

This company really has it's act together. From the beginning, when Linda came out to take measurements and help us with the final decisions, to the expert installation, we could not have been happier. They were on time, on budget and didn't make much of a mess. I'll give them an enthusiastic two thumbs up!

Linda with LWI Custom Cabinets worked with us to build, design, finish and install, custom cabinets for a new home we built in New Braunfels, TX. I found them on the Houzz sight and used one of the 100s of photos for my inspiration for the final product. We met with them one afternoon, to see some of their products and visit their shop, which was spacious, and full of wood working machinery and samples of their jobs. We sent them our inspiration photos and layout for the kitchen and bathrooms. We met with them one more time to ok final finish selections. One of their employees did an on site measure and take off, before starting the build. Arron and their installation crew worked with us to install on time and without any frustrating mistakes any problem was quickly fixed and corrected to our satisfaction. We have had hundreds of positive comments on the cabinets and they are definitely the centerpiece of this new home. We enjoyed working with them for this 12th home we have built over the last 25 years. They will be called again for the next home we build and when you can call people friend after they finish a job for you, you have a win win situation and positive rewards. Lwi designed, built and installed some bookshelves, drawers and cabinets in my spare bedroom. The finished product looks fantastic. These folks did a great job. We had a few hiccups which they quickly remedied. These could have been avoided had we communicated a little better on my exact needs and wants. However, being my first time to hire anyone on contract, I didn't realize how precise I needed to be in my own communication. However Lwi did a great job and produced a high quailty product. Everyone raves about the "look" and the easy-glide, soft-close drawers. I would use Lwi again for my future needs and recommend them to others.

Lwi Custom Cabinets did what i would consider a fairly large job for us. They built custom wall-to-wall, 17 foot wide and 10 foot high cabinets with many cupboards, shelves, a built-in area for a 60" TV and surround sound stereo and a fabulous bar with a hanging wine glass rack, a slide-out alcohol resistsnt counter top and plenty of stirage space. They did an absolutely magnificent job. In the master bedroom whete they built in 2 armoires and a bureau with multiple drawers and again, an area for a built in wall hung TV and cabinets underneath for all the TV and component equipment, laptop computer.all with electrical outlets built in (the actual electrical wiring was done by an electrician). They made two matching night tables with slide-out tabletops for coffee etc. all their drawers and cabinet doors are beautifully finished, full suspension drawers and all are self-closing. Their workmanship was top-of-the-line, their service at the time of installation was fantastic, their staff wonderful to work with and I could not recommend these people more highly to do custom cabinet work. Without question, I would definitely use them again if I have additional cabinet work to be done.

The two curio cabinets fit exactly where I wanted them .They look exactly how I want them to look. The installation was quick and perfect. Many of my friends have told me how much they like them. Great job!
