We used DeckMaster to refinish our deck. The deck is about 17 years old and had two different types of stain from previous work. We contacted three different companies for estimates and all expressed concern about being able to remove one of the previous stain types. DeckMaster's quote was pricey, but similar to the other quote we got (one company never did send a quote). In the end, it was worth the price. The deck came out beautiful and actually smells like cedar again.

The amount of effort on our part to receive information and to be updated on the project progress was not worth the expense. Once the estimate was received it was like we were just another number in line. Simple customer service essentials like keeping your customer apprised of the status (especially since you already have 50% payment) are not observed. The client should not be having to call/contact you if you truly want the business. And then the job was suddenly done without the promised 24 hours notice of when the workers would be coming. (There were 2 different messages on the machine from 2 different people on the morning that the crew came......a little late to notify us since we were at work).
