From the initial consult to applying for a permit, to construction until the very last detail was completed, everyone in the company was nothing but professional. Adam, the manager, kept us informed every step of the way. The build team were prompt every morning and cleaned up the site every evening before going home each night. I am a bit of a perfectionist and even I was solidly impressed at the precision of the miter edge joins. The project took exactly the time we were told and the permit was closed without any issues. I was also happy to see the workers having fun, joking and singing while working- just set the right tone for the job (although the singing needed a bit of work!!). Hughes is amazing. He is patient, understanding and intent on building the deck we wanted. He and his crew were friendly and respectful of our home and kept the site clean and safe for our dogs to run around after every day of work (also found time to toss the ball around with Brutus a bit!). From our very first interaction with Rob, he set his company apart from all of the other companies who provided estimates for our large, second level deck. He provided a detailed estimate and met with us via Zoom, to review the details and sketches to help us design the perfect deck for us. We ended up with a 504 Ft. Sq. PVC deck (including stairs), using the Trex Rain Escapes water proofing system. Rob was always accessible, patient with our changes and need for explanation. He was completely reliable, trustworthy and above all, professional. These traits were mirrored in his team, made up of Mitch and James. Their high quality work and professionalism was evident in every way, from the actual work, their interactions with each other and us, to the cleanliness with which they left the job site, every day. Our pictures, taken in December, do not do the deck justice... We are very pleased with the end result and would not hesitate in recommending Rob, Mitch and James.

New Deck and Pergola I was attracted to this company because of their creative name and well organized website. From the time I contacted Steve(the owner) I knew he was the one I wanted to work with. He seemed really honest and didn’t want to just build us a deck - he wanted to make our dreams come true! He was fantastic to work with and patiently went through different designs, materials and samples with us. Our backyard is small so it was more of a challenge to accommodate our needs. Steve spent hours helping me design our perfect oasis. And he did this even before we committed to having his company work on it! When we signed the contract, his team started and finished the job, as promised, in 4 1/2 days. Erick, Jason, Daniel and Elmer were amazing workers. Erick was the carpenter and his work was excellent and extremely precise. I have dealt with many workers on various projects, but by far, they were the most hard working, respectful and progressional. They patiently answered any and all questions and just seemed like really nice guys. What a pleasure it was to have HDD work on our project and we could not be happier with the gorgeous finished product. We have received tons of compliments on the design of the deck, pergola and the detailed finishing touches. Thank you HDD for creating our beautiful outdoor haven. We hired Steve and his crew to replace our aging deck last fall, and it was the best choice we could have made for our project. Steve was on time for our first meeting, ready to listen to what we wanted and to make helpful suggestions, and when he returned a week or two later with a proposal, it was incredibly detailed and he brought samples as well for us to choose from. Even though our deck was a small project compared to many, Steve treated us as valued customers, and he was willing to replace our aging fence as well, which we really appreciated. He provided us with a friendly, skilled and hard-working crew to do the job, and dropped in frequently during the process to make sure that everything was going well. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had, as was his crew. In the end, we wound up with a beautiful composite deck and cedar fence that we still admire daily. We were very happy with Steve and his crew, and would recommend them highly to anyone considering putting in a new deck.

My deck had been demolished and the posting completed, however, the person responsible did not do the work up to building code standard. I spoke with a number of companies to start from scratch and redo, to code, the work that was done on the deck foundation and to complete the composite/aluminum railing deck. I selected Hickory Dickory Decks particularly for the professional presentation and education received from Steve. He wanted to produce what I had in mind and performed a detailed assessment to ensure we all were on the same page. This was much appreciate. The service provided by all was helpful, courteous and considerate. The work was done in a timely manner and as promised. Best of all the workmanship is excellent!

Steve H. and his crew did a wonderful job of designing and installing our new deck. The entire team, from the deck designer to the installation crew, took pride in their work as every step was completed with an attention to detail. When issues arose we were consulted and the challenge was discussed until a satisfactory resolution was agreed upon. They were also very considerate of our existing gardens. The work site was always cleaned up at the end of the day and a through cleanup was done at the completion of the job. I would highly recommend Steve and his friendly crew of professionals. In fact we are hoping to have them do another project.
