Dream Builders' began business in 2005 after the owner, Greg Schmidt, decided to make a life-changing decision and quit his job at John Deere Harvester. In 2002, he had already won the Quad City Times Home improvement Contest for remodeling his mother's kitchen and bathroom and decided in 2005 to go out on his own. He called his good friend Alma Gaul, Editor QT Times, and she featured another article about Greg and his new business venture. Since then, Dream Builder's has become a home remodeling expert specializing in decks, kitchen & bath remodeling, finishing basements, four season rooms, and more! In addition to being a home remodeling expert, he utilized his skills in renovating the Historic Petersen Paper Building and the Halligan Coffee and Tea House Building in downtown Davenport from 2012-2014 into luxury apartment units. In 2015, Dream Builder's is now back working with our residential clients helping them understand their needs, systems and expectations and offering them a flexible approach that is within their budget. While attending St. Ambrose Greg gained the skills in construction and business and as a newlywed completely renovated his first home and gained notoriety as a carpenter.
