We built a lakefront home on a lot with a tear-down cabin. The lot needed a ton of shaping. Stephens did the design and all the install - it was a major project that came out amazingly. Everyone who sees it can't believe it's the same property! Rock walls, terraces, big beach, fire pit, granite steps, lush landscaping, sod lawn, irrigation, landscape lights... it came out amazingly. Every crew member was a pleasure to interact with, very professional and kind. Fantastic team, my strongest recommendation!

The design is attractive and functional, the installation was fast, the site was left clean, and the price was reasonable. Stephens handled all the details of the permitting process, which was smooth and trouble-free. They are great people to work with.

Creative and a great listener, John Stephens is a dream to work with. He can imagine what you are trying to design and help you achieve your dream. I wanted a front walkway that looked like a NH creek bed. Voila, using many of my existing plantings and some great rock formations, it has appeared and is something that we continually marvel at and enjoy! Punctual and reasonable.

I’ve worked with contractors for the better part of 20 years and to date have not had a better experience than the one I’ve had with Stephens Landscaping. We’ve worked together on a couple of projects to date and the crew as well as the management team were extremely courteous, respectful and insightful. Their pricing is extremely fair and the job gets done when you expect it to get done. Their success and growth comes as no surprise. I am currently using Stephens Landscaping to re do the landscaping on my property after renovating and adding additional space. Original plantings were removed and kept alive during the building and are now being readied for replanting. We are going through the design phase now. I have been very please with their prompt responses to issues and their receptiveness to my ideas. They have been very easy to work with.

Commercial property, complete landscaping. They did design for native plantings in the front and east side of the property. Three years later, we're still receiving compliments about the plantings. Also, installed permeable paver walkways, which seem to be holding up well. Also, planted wildflowers behind the building, which were spectacular during the first two years. Due to competition from the more dominant flowers (brown-eyed Susan) and other invasive weeds, not as spectacular, but still attractive, in year three. I would include photos, as suggested by this website, but it's not obvious how to do so on the website.

This was a case of a landscaper working for a landscaper (vacation home) so I was a bit picky (understatement). We did a complete landscape rehab which included some walls and lots of bluestone walkway/patio and a few sets of bluestone stairs. We're extremely pleased with the end result.
