Glenn Lawton’s aesthetic is cultured and vibrant. He is a deep thinker, a quiet visionary who loves to conceptualize. Glenn graduated with distinction from The College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. During his years of apprenticeship Glenn designed with or free lanced for several reputable firms in Vermont, Virginia and here on the East End. Glenn’s dialogue with nature is a constant source of inspiration. His application of the natural sciences and engineering is balanced by his artistic aptitude. Spatial Arts, founded in 1988, is known for a distinctive modernist aesthetic that blends clean lines with lush textured foliage, often with a classical reference. Well-traveled and well versed, he brings a sophisticated simplicity to the complexity of the design process. We articulate space as singular, transitional or sequential integrating the house to the land in support of your life style. Our analysis and inventory is filtered through a matrix to qualify environmental sensitivity, architectural confluence, mechanical and utilitarian effectiveness and aesthetic appeal. Spatial Arts will develop a comprehensive Site Plan that will embrace all favorable opportunities and mitigate those less desirable in a professional and timely manner.
