I began my gardening career in my backyard, planting as many flowers for my Mother I could find. Every plant was a new adventure and challenge. Right in my own backyard. I lived in that garden, experimenting with all types of annuals and perennials, shrubs and vegetables. I used all this plant material for not only the beauty, but enjoyed using nature for indoor use, Floral design, House plants, herbs. My interest in plants took me to Florida, where I worked on Captiva Island, doing maintenance for a large Island resort. I then began a journey to Philadelphia, where I realize gardening as a art. I pursued Floral design, plant design and urban gardening. We created urban spaces for all types. Small gardens, rooftop decks, window boxes, street trees. I changed direction and adapted to urban mini-landscapes. How did I arrive in this charming village, well it all begins with family and tradition. We all need to grow and move about, follow our dreams, change environments. But bring the blossoms with you. Enjoy your creativity and nature, but know where it comes from. I want to share with you all that nature has given me, as gardeners. Peace, Mark Sparrow flowers and Gardens was established in 2008 in a charming village called Marcellus. We specialize in Container gardens, and then grow to small Garden design, Floral design and Interior Plant design. We are about bringing nature to every part of your home, your business, your parties and friends. Our objective is to create, install and maintain a variety of styles to suit your needs. Sparrow utilizes only high quality products and believes in environmentally sounds practices, such as recycling, organic fertilizing, water conservation, avoiding excess packaging, and always the use of nature. Throughout all stages of design we encourage communication with the client to ensure job satisfaction. We research soils, climate and zonal conditions for each project and instruct clients on maintenance of design.
