Rosie Wilkins Landscape Design

We had neglected our garden since we moved into our house. It was not a space we enjoyed being in, it didn't suit our needs and it had so many high maintenance plants that we had no idea what to do with. Rosie walked into a jungle but her expert eye and creative flair could see what we couldn't. Rosie got to know us and what we wanted from our garden, listened to our likes and dislikes and designed a space that we absolutely love. What really stood out to me was a comment she made walking into the old garden about the positioning of a particular shrub and how that the position created a barrier into the garden resulting in it feeling unwelcoming, it was so true, I had never thought about it that way. It is clear Rosie's eye for detail and extensive knowledge of plants has given us space that works for us, a garden that is colourful and beautiful through the seasons that both we and the plants love! Communication was excellent throughout, we received detailed plans, a 3D video and planting plan. Rosie recommended some contractors and visited the site during the build and was always available at the end of the phone to discuss any details in the plans. I would not hesitate to recommend Rosie and have already asked her to design and refresh our front garden and beds.

Rosie has recently designed a landscape for a mutual client and we have carried out the works. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Rosie and any material or stock issues that became apparent were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Rosie visited the site throughout the project to ensure all expectations were being met by us for her clients. The design was practical and beautiful with every small detail considered.

We really liked Rosie’s style and asked her to design our garden in London. We are very happy with the result and would highly recommend her: very professional, attentive and easy to get on with. She took on board our ideas, concerns and budget and created a garden that is just right for us. She also dealt with the contractors on our behalf which was key in making sure that the work was done properly and within our deadline.

I have a courtyard which is a perfect place to sit and relax, it is sheltered and gets the sun most of the day. I had different ideas of how I wanted it to look but had trouble deciding on anything and therefore wasn't using it. Rosie has done a fabulous job bringing together my different ideas and designing a place I can use and really enjoy now. I would highly recommend her

I commissioned Rosie to design an pop up museum and exhibition space for an international motorsport event in 2018. She fused her experience, insight and innovation to create a space that was bold and exciting for visitors. Rosie's design was extremely well though-out - right down to details such as the flow of human traffic around the artefacts and the interaction between the outdoor space and indoor display. She was professional to the core but also extremely good fun to work with.

When people say no job too big or to small you never quite know the response you’ll get. Rosie was amazing and gave me the inspiration I needed. I’d been ‘turned away’ a few times, and quite abruptly so a little nervous contacting Rosie but I shouldn’t have been. My project was small but quirky. I known what I wanted for my garden and previously had a designer to bring the ideas to life for me, but I’d always struggled with an odd shaped border, access on both sides and a few other challenges! Rosie listened to my challenges, took on my colour scheme and produced a perfectly clear and structured planting design plan. The outcome? Pretty much bought all the plants, swapped in a few of my own, but the biggest thing was talking it through gave me the inspiration I needed and love again for an area that has been troubling me for so long. Rosie definitely puts your agenda first, so whether small, such as a troublesome border or grand design for acres of garden - speak to Rosie.

Rosie prepared detailed CAD drawings with attached plant palette for a pond and bog garden area I designed, so as to be ready for the contractor to plant. Rosie’s work was meticulous and to a very high standard visually. She worked to tight deadlines, taking last-minute revisions in her stride. Her communication was friendly and professional throughout and I much enjoyed working with her. I am looking forward to our next project, a larger wildlife wetland area.

Rosie is a true professional. From the outset, her approach and attention to detail are faultless and her 3D imagery truly brings our projects alive. Her knowledge and enthusiasm shine through at every stage and It’s great having her as part of our team.
