Red Bird Restorative Gardens

Annie at Red Bird Restorative Gardens took our tiny new construction backyard and turned it into an oasis! We were so impressed at how Annie listened through all our ideas and pinterest boards to hear how we wanted the space to work. She presented us with a design that made us feel truly heard! She was also very sensitive to our budget and our love of multifunctional items! Through the implementation process she coordinated with the landscaping crew and facilitated open and frequent communication. The end result is an incredible space that we can gather as a family, with friends and enjoy year round. She took our tiny space and truly turned it into a restorative garden!

Annie Red Bird was the most amazing shepherd to the transformation of my yard and garden. I was blown away by the ideas she presented after listening deeply to what my hopes were for the space. Now, I have magical lighting, beauty every place I look AND so many surprises. The water and fire features are so cool. Had friends and family sitting around the fire last night and we told "campfire" stories. Everyone said it was a gorgeous place to be! Annie also arranged for terrific subcontractors to do the work - the concrete magician, the amazing stone masons, the landscape folks who did the fence, all the planting and bed changing and installed the water, fire, lights and paths. I always knew when someone was coming and they always followed through. Annie managed all the details - and made it so easy for me to allow this transformation. She took me 'shopping' for plants, art, to see examples of the water and fire features and for stone. That really helped me to envision how the project would unfold. Her design included plants for year-round; plants for birds, bees, butterflies and colors that blend with my house and surroundings. It's gorgeous! And, she cared for the pace of the work and the process so we weren't going faster than I could handle. She paid attention to deadlines like the garden party for my visiting family. All this made it an exciting (vs potentially stressful) process for me. Now, I get to just enjoy it all and look forward to the changes in the seasons. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being amazing, I give Red Bird Restorative Gardens and Annie an 11 or higher. As you can tell, I'm over the moon pleased! Annie Kirk designed a new front yard for us including a new driveway and sidewalks. We decided to turn the project into a DIY with the exception of the concrete work. Annie assisted us through the process with detailed design and planting plans, selecting our plants and pots, rocks and gravel and metal edging. She answered any questions that arose along the way. Bottom line...she got us! We enjoyed working with her very much. At the outset we told her that we wanted a prairie vibe, less grass, low maintenance and improved curb appeal. We said, "We want to drive up to our house and think...isn't this beautiful...aren't we lucky." And that's just what we think every time we come home.

Annie Kirk of Red Bird Landscaping is a delight to work with. Creative and precise, Annie and her crew deliver a fabulous array of plants, flowers, trees and stone that transform and sculpt a yard into a new landscape. I am delighted as each season brings something new and delightful to look at or smell in my yard. I love visiting the other yards I know she has done. Her color combinations, her use of texture and layering, it is like watching someone paint with plants! I look forward to my projects with Annie...each summer.
