Prestige Design

Working with our landscape company for a project estimate, we engaged Nate to help us design and envision the comprehensive end state we were after with our driveway and landscape project. Since we knew the project was going to be significant and we wanted the kind of result we would be happy with for 50 years, we really wanted a landscape architect to help us draw the detailed picture of what the end result would be, so that we and the landscape company knew exactly what we were building and when we knew we had hit the mark. Nate toured the property and spent a good amount of time surveying and measuring the property, talking to us about what we wanted, proposing ideas, and iterating through possibilities to see which options aligned with or improved our own thoughts. Nate brought a lot of excellent proposals that we had never even considered, often telling us about alterations the landscape company could do that we hadn't thought was within their purview. After that detailed interview and couple calls, Nate had a detailed initial draft ready for us to look at. After another quick call or two to make some adjustments, the project design looked perfect. Taking those designs to the landscape company made the the project very easy to track and gave us an incredibly helpful reference as the project progressed. Nate's designs were so accurate that they were used to calculate the quantity of materials required with remarkable precision, leaving very few extras at the end of the project. The architectural design was invaluable as the project moved along and adjustments needed to be made (for various reasons) - it's very easy to work with a detailed set of diagrams to understand how changes will affect the end result, and it reduced our anxiety (as homeowners). Working with Nate was an absolute pleasure and an investment in our project that was absolutely worthwhile and we would highly recommend his services - we will certainly engage him when we have another larger-scale project. :-)

Nate did a fantastic job creating a new landscape design for our front entryway and rear patio. We worked with a pavers and landscaping company to install the front entry, parking area, and porch and it turned out fantastic! We can't wait for "phase 2" of the project to see Nate's ideas turned into reality for the back patio.

I worked with Nate for a landscape design for pretty much the whole exterior of the lot my home is on. Throughout the process Nate was attentive to what I wanted, paid close attention to detail, and was very patient as we went through different proposals and my repeated requests for tweaking things (as I obtained estimates from the landscaping company). The designs themselves were drawn very beautifully and were a great help in getting to a shared understanding of what the end result would look like to me, and I wanted built with the contractor.
