We hired Paul to design and complete a small front terrace and a challenging small backyard/patio in our home. Starting from our initial conversations, and continuing throughout the project, Paul listened carefully to our ideas - and turned those vague thoughts into a beautiful project that exceeded all of our expectations. His plans were clear, and he willingly modified them when asked. He hired an exceptional team (Bu-Kai Design) that produced a garden that was both landscaping and art. Paul picked out the plants, took us to pick out some great pots, and oversaw the whole project - showing up when needed every time. Paul's professionalism, obvious knowledge and skill-set, and great people skills were greatly appreciated. High quality work, done to specs and on time - what more could you ask! Paul Taylor recently designed the second landscaping plan for our family. Our first landscape design, working with Paul, incorporated landscaping nearly an acre of property. He brought in boulders, trees and lovely plants, creating a lovely design and very usable space. In this current plan, around our 1912 Arts & Crafts home, he incorporated lots of 'grandma plants' that will enhance our 'grandma house'. With his installation team, the original landscaping was completely removed (reserving some plants that would be relocated) amended and replanted. Other than the weather delay, everything went smoothly and the work was completed in time for our holiday celebrations. Paul is easy to work with, listens to and understands concerns, and responds quickly. We highly recommend Paul for any work you might be considering.

My wife & I hired this company to plan, design & supervise the installation of a front yard decorative garden for our home. Paul was prompt, very attentive to our needs, & designed a garden that not only complements our neighborhood but will also look beautiful year round. In writing this review I do not have enough kind and professional words to say about Paul's business. He was recommended by a friend which is always the best way to go when you are deciding on hiring a contractor. You get to ask that friend what they are like to work with, how they adhere to timelines, do they listen to your needs and likes, are they willing to teach you the reasons for their design decisions and how do they solve problems that arise. In our initial conversation with Paul we had two basic thoughts for him. We needed a design which accommodated our physical needs and we are not people who like to do yard work. Paul worked with these guidelines in every aspect of his design while always keeping the overall esthetic look of the landscaping to honor the look of the house. The process he has developed takes a large project and guides you through it being able to make decisions along the way and gives you some time to make good choices. He has an excellent understanding of plants and encourages you to choose what types and colors you like within a framework of design. He also has an excellent eye for the art of the design. I found it very rewarding that he had a schedule and could be a little flexible around our needs, but never changed his schedule so we felt we were not his top priority. The people he brought in to do the work were excellent. They understood what Paul wanted and accommodated the work we wanted to do into their schedule. This was a project which took around four month from first contact to final cleanup. We are extremely pleased with what Paul has done for our home and can not imagine he would not do the same for yours.

Paul Taylor turned our yard into a work of art! His garden design was elegant yet simple. Our garden is now a land of enchantment, beautiful from many viewpoints and always changing. It has drawn us closer to nature. Paul was professional in every respect and I recommend him most highly.

Paul was the project manager/landscape designer of our project. We were interested in having color in every season in our front yard. The front yard terrain was very steep, slanting down towards the front of our house. We also have very large boulders in the yard, smaller boulders/rocks in the clay soil. Paul was able to respond to our wish list, even with these difficult conditions. It has been a year since the project has been completed. All of our plants are thriving and we love the color variations in the plants and the blooms we are beginning to see in the spring. Now that the plants are established, we are looking forward to what the other seasons will bring.
