Olive Grove Landscaping was hired, after interviewing three landscaping companies, to create a living space on a steep slope overlooking a five acre pond in my backyard. I designed the stone stones and semi-circle patio with a retaining wall and fire pit and reviewed it with Sam Zeitoun. We shared ideas of the materials to be used, size, color and type of stones to be used for the steps (I wanted each step to be one large stone), the project start date and cost of the project. Olive Grove Landscaping began and finished the project when they said they would, created a beautiful living space to my specifications and came in on budget. I was very impressed with the exceptional quality of the workmanship, the considerable skills of the installers and the speed within it was completed because it was a large project. I was very pleased with the attention to detail and precision of the stonework. The patio has a slight slope for water runoff, drainage was installed behind the semi circle retaining wall, the pavers (used for the patio) all lined up perfectly and the fire pit was flawless. The installers cleaned up everything when the project was completed and replanted the grass where the Bobcat was used. I am delighted with the outcome of the project. It is used often for entertaining friends and family, hosting parties and enjoying a bonfire in the fire pit on summer nights. We had our front and back yards landscaped and new hardscape redesigned and completed using Olive Grove Landscaping. It turned out well beyond our expectations! It looks so nice and the work was done efficiently and without complications. Every season that we pass through, we are thankful for the vision and expertise of Olive Grove. We recently remodeled our first floor and part of the focus was our landscaping. We wanted our dining room to look out onto our backyard so we installed extra windows to take in our gorgeous view. Olive Grove Landscaping (OGL) implemented the first phase of our landscape design in the backyard. This included: - Removal of an existing cedar deck and 6 trees - Installation of a large and beautiful blue stone patio, walkway, steps and landing - Installation of multiple flagstone walks and a sitting area - Installation of numerous shrubs, and perennials - Repair of the house siding where the deck was removed We now have a beautiful park in my backyard! Matt Nelson my designer oversaw the project, ensuring the design was implemented as we agreed. Sam, the owner of OGL, was very accommodating. Everything installed was at least the size specified, or in numerous cases larger than the statement of work specified. Sam even located and obtained 6 foot solid stone steps for me instead of using the standard 4 foot plus a 2 foot step. This makes a huge difference in the appearance. Start to finish, installation was right at 3 weeks. Plus the timing of the installation was absolutely perfect with our personal schedule. We are now enjoying our beautiful backyard park!
