MG Gardens is an award-winning landscape design and horticultural consultancy firm based in Bayside, Melbourne. Meg Geary specialises in residential design, natural playground design, and planting design for homeowners and professionals. She also offers garden consultations and plant sourcing services for homeowners and professionals alike. Our aim is to design beautiful gardens that are responsive to each client, their needs, house architecture and surrounding landscape, creating a sense of place and a garden that is unique to each project. Our strong horticultural focus results in a rich and textured planting palette, suited to the style of your garden, the site conditions and your lifestyle. The Bentleigh West Kindergarten Committee approached Meg from MG Gardens to design two separate sections of the outdoor space within our kindergarten. In both instances Meg's professionalism and advice was exactly what we needed. She took the needs and wants of the Educators and children, and the safety concerns of the committee and designed beautiful, thoughtful, innovative and cohesive areas that are being used everyday. Meg has continued to support to the committee and kindergarten beyond completing the project by providing advice in regards to construction and answering many calls about replanting and maintenance of the equipment. We have no hesitation in recommending MG Gardens to other early childhood establishments or anyone looking for a designer that can nail a brief perfectly. We have been working with Meg for the past year on our one acre garden, set on a sloping block in The Dandenongs and could not be happier. Meg thoroughly examined our property, with all of its challenges, then after discussing our likes and dislikes, designed an absolutely wonderful garden that is varied, functional and beautiful, highlighting so many different plants and sections as the seasons change. Meg sourced the plants and placed them all (over 1000 so far), then followed up regularly over the year as the garden established itself. Meg is friendly and knowledgeable and a total delight to work with. We would recommend her without hesitation.

Meg came to discuss our requirements for renovating our delapidated front garden following our house move and then came up with a design which totally met our requirements as to plants and colours. Her knowledge of plants was extensive and we receive many complimentary comments from passers-by following implementation of her design. We are absolutely delighted with the result. Meg knows plants!!!! There are so many designers out there that know a small selected palette but Meg is one designer that crosses over into a horticultural realm. I've been amazed at the ideas she can bring to the table when engaged to provide planting palette advice. If you're looking for a friendly designer that goes the extra mile when creating and that knows in-depth horticultural knowledge look no further than Meg.
