Jeff Baldwin Landscapes

Jeff began his working life as an apprentice in horticulture with the PNCC, learning all aspects of amenity horticulture and gaining his Trade Certificate in Horticulture. On completing his apprenticeship he travelled to Adelaide and worked for 12 months in the Adelaide Botanic Garden. Following this, Jeff went further afield to Britain and worked in the gardens of the Chelsea and Kensington Borough Council in London. On returning to New Zealand Jeff worked for a number of landscapers, notably David Irvine, the landscape architect. He also gained building experience, working full time for two years in the local building industry. For the last 20 years he has been running Jeff Baldwin Landscape Design and Construction, employing highly qualified full time staff. Jeff is a member of Landscaping New Zealand, a group of accredited landscape practitioners who have reached and maintained high standards of business practice as well as a high quality in their work. He is passionate about landscape and architectural design and enjoys being involved in the complete process from concept and construction to finished product. 'I think it's most important that we give people what they want and hopefully a lot more, rather than giving them what I think they need. We try to find out what clients likes and dislikes are and take into consideration the positives and negatives of the site.' - Jeff Baldwin
