Ground Effects Landscaping

Landscaping done in both front and back. Beds were made and planted and two trees were planted. It has only been seven plus months and one of the trees has completely died. I contacted Tyler on several occasions and was told he would come and look at the tree. It is now two weeks and no response. I would think they would stand behind their services and the plants they provided.

Tyler and his team installed a full patio and large fire pit addition to my home. He was innovative with his design, managed his project timeline well and was responsive to my communication needs. His construction team was talented, accountable and wanted to ensure that I was satisfied. I had a very good experience with Ground Effects and intend to utilize their services again in the near future. Thanks for a job well done.

Tyler and his crew with Ground Effects Landscaping were fantastic to work with!! We had shown Tyler several picture ideas of what we had wanted for our backyard, which was very sloped, he came back with a drawing that we loved, and when completed the yard looks identical to the drawing! The overall process was so easy, the crew was very respectful, cleaned up daily, and they listened to all my ideas! The pricing was very fair as well and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for hardscape landscaping needs.

We purchased our new home directly from the builder. No landscaping was provided so we needed a quality professional to take the barren Arkansas dirt and rock and transform the land to our vision. Tyler Burns and his crew did just that! Tyler understood from the first consultation that we wanted a natural looking landscape with featured southern plantings and specific hardscape features. Tyler's very first design concept was perfect for us! The crew of Ground Effects worked each day, all day, contouring the land and implementing the hardscape to include creating a low stone wall, stone covered patios, planting beds, grass sod, an irrigation system and landscape lighting. They transformed the barren lot into a lovely setting for our new home, a setting we enjoy and are pleased to share with visitors.

Tyler was professional, considerate and straight forward from time of initial quote to the completion of the job. Tyler was able to take our design inspiration and combine his hard scape expertise to economically transform an unusable space to one we can now use for many years. Provided a vision of what I wanted and they turned it into a reality. Finish product was better than I expected. Loved the flaf stone path and stone stairs provided access to the backyard. Estimate was fair, work was started and completed on time. Staff were curious and cleaned up afterwards.

Tyler worked with us to turn our vision for a backyard patio into a natural stone design that is a great fit with our space. He was able to combine the raw materials and planting’s together to create something that I would have never been able to do on my own. He and his crew were very attentive to our needs as the project progressed and always took time to listen and respond to what we wanted. I plan to use them again and would recommend them.

Tyler and his crew are fabulous! Tyler provided a plan based on our ideas and he performed a miracle! He stayed within our budget and he kept us informed all along the project. He promptly returns any calls or texts, and his crew is courteous and keeps the work area clean of any debris. We have plans for phase 2 next year and Ground Effects (Tyler) will be back to complete our total project.

The project included an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, pergola, pavers, and addition of landscaping including trees and shrubbery and plants. We found Tyler Burns to be highly professional, detail oriented, prompt, courteous, and straightforward and honest. His design based upon our inputs and bringing the project from concept to reality added great value to the project. Tyler and his team are awesome! Very responsive, kept to their timeline and did beautiful work. I had them do two projects for me- 1) an ugly clean up, 2) a start from scratch bkank slate where I needed a lot of advice. Both look terrific now. Very knowledgeable and flexible. Great communicator.

Tyler and his crew created a masterpiece with our landscaping in downtown Bentonville. People stop all the time to ask who completed our work and we are always happy to give a recommendation. Outside of a few minor rain delays, all work was completed on time and the crew was always respectful. Tyler put a lot of ownership in the work and checked in with us daily to provide updates. Tyler designed and built a patio with a fire pit into our hillside and redesigned our flower beds. The result was better than I imaged. Our back deck is now connected by a flag stone path and steps leading to the round patio. We receive compliments from everybody who comes over. Tyler was responsive to our e-mails and listened to our ideas and offered additional ideas to improve our vision. We look forward to spring to see how the flower beds look in bloom.

Very professional! Tyler was quick to respond to our initial call, quick to provide a professional design that met all our requirements. Flexible as the job progressed to make changes as we changed our mind on what we wanted. Communication was excellent and kept us up to date on the progress and schedule. Price was as quoted and only went over when we requested additional services. The end product is beautiful and something we are proud of.

I would highly recommend Ground Effects. I felt they did great work, and unlike a couple of others I've dealt with both in NWA and elsewhere, these folks got things done very close to the date they said it might be done. There was only one small glitch (i.e., cutting the cable line), but they were up front immediately and I was able to get the cable company out there quickly. I very much like what the end product was, and I feel the price was fair. I love my backyard :-)

We hired Ground Effects to construct several flower beds as well as a large patio. Tyler and he team did a great job from start to finish. Tyler provided design suggestions as well as several different paver options for us to choose from. They also did a great job cleaning up our yard after they were finished. We hired Ground Effects to re-sod our yard, re-do our landscaping, build a stone fire pit and install a sprinkler system. For every request of ours, they did exactly as we had asked them to do and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. This is a business that is run very professionally and they have been 100% honest with us throughout our project. We received a true estimate of the costs and did not have any surprise charges in the end. Our project was estimated to be completed in two weeks and was actually completed in 10 days. After the work was completed, they have been more than helpful in answering any questions, showing how to use the sprinkler system, etc. We highly recommend Ground Effects to others.

Ground Effects not only took care of the erosion problem in my yard, the final result turned out looking much better than I expected. Tyler was responsive to all my questions, concerns and changes well.

We are extremely pleased with the job that Ground Effects Landscaping did in designing and then completing an area of our property that was unattractive and needed an expert touch. We hired Ground Effects to re-work out front yard by installing large native stones and replacing many of the aging shrubs and plants. Tyler Burns and his team did an outstanding job in accomplishing the plan which we had agreed to prior to the start of the project. Tyler is a creative, cooperative, and cordial person to work with his. His team did great work when he was not present and all worked hard and maintained a good attitude the entire duration of the project. His years of experience and knowledge of plants native to this part of the country is extensive and his willingness to work with us in selecting the plants was a good experience. Plus, his quote for the job was very competitive and fair. A very dependable and reputable landscaping firm.

Tyler did a fine job on our stone patio, it will last forever. Juan his foreman was kind and kept us informed. Tyler checked in frequently. Be aware that the weather can dictate schedules however.

We hired this company to do irrigation, sod, and landscaping for our newly built home. We were very pleased with the plan that was submitted to us with the bid. It was professionally drawn and left us with a clear picture of what the finished project would look like. The project was completed in a timely manner. We met and chose plants together, which helped us visualize the finished product. We have never had an irrigation system before. Because it was installed in very late fall, Mr. Burns has offered to come back in the spring and show us how it all works. Overall, we are very pleased with Ground Effects.

Towards the end of 2012, my wife and I moved into our new home which sits on 1/2 and acre and backs up to the woods. The builder sodded the front yard and hydro seeded the remaining. For a sloped, shaded lot, the hydro seed did nothing but wash away during the rain. The back yard has a lot of usable space, but was very unappealing due to the lack of grass and erosion. For the past 2 summers, my wife and I built 4 retaining walls, moved dirt, and placed sod. In one area of a built retaining wall, it was planned to have a fire pit, surrounded by flagstone and an area for plants / shrubbery. This was the point that we needed professional help. I spoke to a coworker that recently built a house and highly recommended the landscaper that he used, Tyler Burns. I spoke to my wife later that evening, she searched Houzz for recommendations and pulled up photos of work completed by Ground Effects Landscaping. Sure enough, the photos that she had pulled up on the Houzz website was of my coworkers house. I called Tyler with Ground Effects Landscaping and within a day, he was at our house and looking over our project. Tyler took photos, measurements, gave us input and said that he would put something together. A day later, Tyler had a proposed plan drawn out as well as estimated cost. This design was phenomenal! My wife and I were very excited about how it looked on paper due to the continuity of everything built thus far. We still needed time to think about it and thanked Tyler for his time and that we would be in contact. That same weekend, my wife and I layed approximately 14 pallets of zoysia sod in the back yard. It was that point that we decided we need an irrigation system and contacted Tyler. Within 2 days, Tyler obtained the information that he needed and provided a quote for the irrigation system. The promptness of the plan and quotes had me very comfortable with his work ethic. My wife and I decided to move forward with both projects. Tyler arranged a date and time for us to sign a contract. Tyler arrived just a few minutes early. Signing a contract made me feel good about our decision in hiring Ground Effects simply because a colleague of mine was complaining about his contractor and the lack of work he has paid him to do. A deposit was given and Tyler gave us a time frame as to when his crew would begin work. Once the work at our home kicked off, I met up with the crew of Ground Effects. Hard working, courteous, and professional team. Now that the work is complete, we have received a lot of compliments of the job done.

We had a great experience with Ground Effects Landscaping. Tyler demonstrated the utmost of professionalism from start to finish. His team worked long days, and was meticulous about ensuring our paver drive/sidewalk as well as our flagstone patio and fire pit were installed perfectly. Ground Effecs did a complete overhaul of our back yard on the lake. What was once just rocks and a patch of grass going to the dock is now a beautiful oasis with paths, patios and fire pit...all complimented by the lighting they installed. The rock work is outstanding. The fire pit Tyler built is truly awesome and one of a kind. Tyler was professional and kept his word throughout the project. We were very pleased and would highly recommend Ground Effects.
