Gabe and the entire team at GCLA were professional, thoughtful and maybe most importantly of all, had the creativity to make our vision come to life through the iterative design process! They listened to our needs and created solutions to our problems - even identifying potential issues we hadn't thought of. This kind of forward-thinking only comes with experience - we're so grateful to have them working with us!

Gabriel and his team took the courtyard at my rental property from a nice, but unusable space to a very welcoming, community gathering spot that utilizes all the space. Complete with built in BBQ, firepit and water feature. What a transformation! They brought in a contractor (Ralco Landscapes) to do the construction. GCLA continued to monitor the project and adjust the design from demo to completion. They provided a great service for a reasonable cost. Their lighting design was the best part.

Pablo and the GCLA team were delightful to work with. His creativity and expertise in design was very professional. He checked all the boxes on my wish list and added wonderful additions that would never have occurred to me. His video rendering of my project brought everything to life. I really appreciated his sensitivity to the aesthetic of my home, making the indoor outdoor space seamless. He created a serene oasis of a backyard. I especially love the water feature!

When we purchased our 40+ year old home, we knew it came with the need to majorly improve the property. The acre+ that we needed to upgrade had not been touched since 1980 - and it showed. We spoke with Gabe about the vision we had for how we wanted to use the yard as well as incorporate some elements that could not be changed and he more than delivered our dream space...he delivered our friends and family's happy place. What was an overwhelming mess is now a well thought out yard from the hardscape to the native plants. He was thoughtful with his questions and made sure he thought of every measurement (hire a surveyor - worth it) that needed to be considered for our terraced yard. We recommend him every chance we get asked about our yard.

I am so impressed with GCLA Landscape Design. They are pleasant, do good work, and are so efficient. Once we approved the plans, they were on site marking out the design and confirming measurements within days. They worked around the weather and squeezed in the pouring of the hardscape between two huge rainstorms. The plantings aren't even in yet, and already I have had several neighbors stop me outside the house to complement the lovely layout of the poured-in-place pavers GCLA Landscape installed. Can't wait to see the completed project.

Gabe was great on the first design review. After that he was MIA and introduced a junior designer to take over a multi million dollar project. They completely ignored HOA guidelines I gave them months before that and even though the scope changed and I offered to change the contract for more compensation, he said he can finish the current design for phase one and then a new contract for phase two. They did not finish phase one. Gave me a childish looking 2D plans that do NOT follow the HOA guidelines then he said he will not finish phase one or want to do phase two and have walked away with $7,000 in design fees. Again, he is capable of doing good work but he is not sticking to the agreement. I should have NOT pay him in advance before he finished his work.

Gabe and Pablo are really The BEST!! We worked with them on our pool and landscape design project for our backyard and it was a very enjoyable experience. They listen to our ideas and provided us the design for the pool and backyard of our dreams!. We are now looking forward to bring the design into construction with them as well. We 100% recommend anyone to work with them. They are very knowledgeable, professional and responsive.

we had a great experience with GCLA. it was nice to roll both the design and construction together as it made it easier on us to work with a single entity versus a separate design and construction firm who might point the finger at each other or lose a piece of important information because of a communication error. we would definitely recommend GCLA.

I talked to at least six landscape architects for our project. After meeting with Gabe at our home, we immediately recognized that Gabe understood our ultimate desires and we were very comfortable with his approach. Gabe presented his initial design in a way that was very easy to understand with both drawings and an animated video. We made minor revisions and quickly received our final design from Gabe. Gabe is fantastic! We currently have a brand new house with virtually no landscaping. We felt very overwhelmed with the design process and frankly had no clue where to start. We chose Gabe strictly from pictures on Houzz. He was one of 3 landscapers we contacted. His prompt response, clear pricing, realistic estimates and great ideas led us to choose him. The design process was fun and Gabe was very patient with our process. It was a learning process for us and he was very patient. Most of the ideas he proposed at the first meeting which we rejected are actually part of the end design. The graphics and videos are excellent and we were really able to see the ideas come to life. Where to begin? I called Gabriel of GCLA Landscape Design after I had done some research for a large residential project including hardscaping, pool, and landscaping. I reached out to other companies and Gabriel was the most communicative of them all from day 1 so I didn't even bother moving forward with any one else; I knew that our project would be in good hands with GCLA. Upon speaking with him and outlining the project scope, I knew right away that working with him and his team was going to be a high caliber experience. Not only has he been consistently kind, patient and professional, he also strives to make sure that we understand the process in its totality while comprehensively encompassing our aesthetic & budget. We were so incredibly impressed with his 1st round design plans (which includes a 3D rendering) and each subsequent iteration; Gabriel truly has a gift for turning abstract ideas into beautiful realities. He included details that captured all we desired and even provided options that really showcases what we envisioned for ALL aspects of the project. As we worked through the rounds of revisions, he remained flexible & agreeable; when we discussed matters of budget, he was very conservative with the materials and did not make us feel pressured to keep certain aspects/features that could drive up cost. At one point early on, we had the opportunity to talk about the project with his contractor and let me tell you, I have dealt with MANY contractors over the years and I have never experienced such responsiveness & thoroughness from a contractor like I had experienced with Gabriel's. In summary, working with Gabriel and his team as been such an honor and incredible journey from all aspects: design, communication, flexibility, efficiency and unparalleled professionalism. I needed some ideas and Gabe at GCLA came through! He spent the time getting the measurements right and getting to know my plans for using the outdoor space. He provided me a highly detailed set of plans including planting and materials! He did his best to accommodate my few requirements, and made sure the final design was both modern, feasible, and integrated into the current look of my home. I didn't know what to expect going into a landscape design, but my results are nothing short of exciting! Hoping the final product exceeds my expectations as much as the design. I met with Gabe to discuss a redesign of my outdoor space that was severely lacking in usability. Gabe did a great job listening to our objectives in building a fire pit and surrounding landscaping. We just finished working with GCLA on the design for the complete overhaul of our yard's landscaping. The end result was three computer-designed drawings of our new landscape showing different aspects of the design (hardscape, trees, and planting). We talked with several landscape designers before picking GCLA. We chose Gabe because we felt he is a great combination of deep knowledge, modern techniques, and competitive price. We were extremely happy with Gabriel at GCLA Landscape Design. Gabe was punctual, courteous and professional the entire way through the project. We gave him our vision but asked him to use his own discretion and creativity and we were amazed at the outcome. We hired Gabe to create landscape plans for our front and backyard. We had general ideas about what we wanted, but did not know how to implement them or what materials to use. Gabe was able to take our ideas and turn it into a beautiful design, down to the bushes and plants. Gabe even added additional details, such as a paved sitting area and shrub barrier. We are very excited to see our design turned into reality.
