Located at the Jersey Shore, Coastal Concepts LLC is a design + build company serving Monmouth and Ocean counties. It was formed by landscape designer Pat Rhoades and specializes in residential Landscape Design and Construction. Our main objective is to meet our clients’ needs while exceeding their expectations. Whether constructing a new home to simply adding some curb appeal, Coastal Concepts will apply their quality professional services to see your project through from concept to completion. At Coastal Concepts we believe that the right landscape starts with the right design. And creating that design is what we are best known for. Our passion and creativity are the driving forces behind the design process and come together to provide innovative solutions to challenges faced in the landscape. On every project that we are a part of we strive to incorporate form and function seamlessly into one cohesive design which looks beautiful and performs as usable space. We aim to produce unique outdoor spaces that are both ecologically sound and experientially rich.

Prompt, professional and courteous. Did a wonderful job removing old and replacing new plants for a new landscape design in my garden. Very attentive to making certain the image I wanted to have was achieved. Very pleased with this company.

In looking for a landscape design for our beach home we interviewed several recommended people but chose Coastal Concepts because Pat Rhodes had great ideas, was committed to make our yard design unique, was energetic and was very easy to work with. Pat's mason did all the stone work and his work was amazing. Built a fireplace and beautiful patio for us just as we envisioned. Coastal Concepts designed our backyard (2016) and front yard (2017) handling the design, stonework, plant and shrub recommendation with concern over our likes and dislikes, built in grill, the yard lighting, the irrigation, the flagpole and even the replant of existing shrubs where possible. Pat has great vision with a commitment to the budget and the maintenance of upkeep after he was done. We felt he cared as much about the completed project as we did. Pat was responsive and available before, during and after the project was done. We highly recommend Coastal Concepts as we are a very pleased customer!

Innovative design; meticulous attention to detail; integrity in service. Readily accessible and available for questions or concerns. Gets the job done on time and in budget. We hired Coastal Concepts to redesign our entire back yard and pool area. We have received numerous compliments on his unique design and how it differed from standard suburban design. His work was honored recently by our local garden Club.

Pat Rhoades helped me redesign my outdoor living at the Jersey Shore into a dream backyard. He re-landscaped my entire property, designed and built a pool and deck and turned my backyard into my dream space. I can't say enough good things about his professionalism, the quality of his design, the attention to detail and execution. He was a true pleasure to work with. He puts his heart and soul into every project and shines through with his enthusiasm.

I can't say enough good things about Coastal Concepts, led by Pat Rhoades. Pat took our completely bare land - post Superstorm Sandy - to a beautifully, established landscaped beach property in a relatively short period of time. Pat has a great eye for design and is incredibly knowledgeable about native plants and those that do well along the NJ coast. Additionally, Pat and his crew are truly customer oriented and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job is done to your satisfaction. I would highly recommend Coastal Concepts. Theresa H. Pat performed the design and installation of the landscaping on our newly built home in Spring Lake. His design was creative and original as well as fluid as we made changes as the installation progressed. Pat was a pleasure to work with. He's very easy to talk to and was able to take our ideas and wants and turn them into an awesome exterior space.

Coastal Concepts did an amazing job on our hardscape and landscape project! Our two-level bluestone patio looks phenomenal and our landscaping and lighting came out better than we imagined! We highly recommend Pat and Coastal Concepts for all of your hardscape and landscape needs!

Outdoor Lighting - after years of using cheap, dysfunctional "Big Box Store" outdoor lighting to illuminate our garden, patio and house we hired Pat to do the job the right way. Pat used top notch products and went above and beyond during the instillation process by putting all lines in a conduit to help alleviate damage to wires when digging in the yard. We are thrilled with the job and constantly get compliments on his work. We also use Pat for periodic landscaping projects such as mulching and general garden maintenance. Reliable, competitively priced and a true pleasure to work with.

Comentado: hi, would you be able to tell me how wide the joints/grout lines are?The joints are 1/2” thick which is pretty standard with pattern bluestone as the stone is 1/2” shorter than it’s listed size and we used standard Portland cement for the grout.
