Our personal story started in 2013, when we met on my (Callie's) 21st birthday at a local bar. We spent the next year building a solid friendship. On my 22nd birthday, Dan surprised me with flowers and a confession...he wanted to be together! From there we dated, fell in love, added the cutest puppy in the entire world to our family, got married, and so much more! While our personal story started in a bar, our business' story started in the living room of our tiny apartment. We loved woodworking together, so we decided to post one of our creations, our 6-leg console table, on Etsy. Within 2 weeks, we heard that cha-ching sound indicating we sold a table. Then a day later, we heard it again...and a few days later, you guessed it, another one. All of a sudden, it hit us...we live in an apartment where power tools are prohibited and we have no idea how to ship a massive table. From that third cha-ching, we knew it was time to get serious. So... ...we re-engineered our tables so they ship flat, yet are easy to assemble. This saves our customers hundreds of dollars in shipping fees. ...we bought a house (yes, you read that correctly...) with a large basement to use as a workshop. Then, we furnished our house with all of our dream woodworking tools! ...we came up with new table designs and added them to our shop. As orders become consistent, it became clear that our passion should be our profession. So, I'm officially working full-time at Zaycup. As your check out our shop, please reach out!
