Sandtown Millworks

We've had numerous pieces made by Sandtown over the years. Two custom mirror barn doors for bathrooms, a console with tin inserts, and a fully custom desk with tin inserts on the front and the drawer faces. Everything they've made us has been fantastic! Ryan and Will are always very responsive and excited to work on new or custom projects, even when it's something they've never done before such as our desk. I have hired Sandtown Millworks twice for custom furniture pieces and purchased a "stock" piece (tin tile framed mirror) from them on one other occasion. I first found Sandtown Millworks at their display during the Sunday morning farmers' market and bazaar under the JFX in Baltimore. Their furniture was absolutely gorgeous and I loved the story of everything being crafted from locally sourced, reclaimed wood and other materials (e.g., tin ceiling tiles). The craftsmanship of each piece I've ordered so far has been absolutely amazing. Each is an investment piece that I will keep for a lifetime. Designs are clean, classic, and beautiful. In addition to being handcrafted in Baltimore from local materials, the thing I love most about Sandtown Millworks is that they're willing to work with you to customize pieces to create something that's perfect for your space. My first order - a Sandtown Console - was customized to slightly smaller dimensions to fit my apartment space perfectly. My most recent order - Sandtown End Tables - was customized to include reclaimed tin tile inlays on the table tops to coordinate with a gorgeous mirror framed with tin tiles that I bought from them at ArtScape a couple of years ago. They also stained a Lath Coffee Table a slightly darker color to coordinate with the color of the Sandtown Console and End Tables. Orders once in queue, with a 50% down payment, typically take 3 - 4 months to complete. Everything has been worth the wait and the monetary investment. They're highly responsive to emails for requesting quotes on custom orders and updates on orders that are in process. They also offer delivery in and around Baltimore - including surrounding counties - at a VERY reasonable additional cost. I love that pieces show up and still smell like fresh cut wood. You know that nothing you get from Sandtown is pre-fab, mass produced, big box store furniture.

Sandtown Millworks makes excellent furniture with good value. They have designed and fabricated custom furniture as well as provided ready-made furniture for my interior design clients. My clients and I are very happy with the quality and service they provide. I have had everything from a simply stool to a custom made sectional made to my specifications.

Case Design remodeled a master bathroom and closet for home owners who bought this door and we installed it. The door is beautiful and well made. It helps complete their new bathroom and having local ties makes it extra special! I would love to work with Sandtown Millworks again!
