Canada's Boss Leather Furniture

This small Canadian leather furniture company is a hidden gem. They specialize in building quality leather products, using beautiful leathers from around the world. We have recently purchased a sectional (at a great sale price) and two amazing recliners made from blue Italian calf leather. The quality is obvious from the first sitting. While the communication back and forth was a bit slow, they responded politely and addressed a small lining fix. They repaired the lining free of charge and even shipped it back to our home (saved a drive) N/C. This is why we give five stars to Boss Leather

After searching everywhere in Calgary for a new sofa set and not finding what I wanted, I turned to the internet and found Boss Leather. I fell in love with the Sir Chartwell sofa and after it was delivered I ended up buying the matching love seat and chair. After the final pieces were delivered yesterday, the set is now complete. It looks outstanding! I am so happy with the quality of the workmanship. Robert and Alfredo provided excellent customer service through the process. I highly recommend Boss Leather!

We purchased two custom couches in February of 2022 and still have no idea as to when we are receiving them. We have to go through the Bolton store to get an update as to where our order is. We are so very disappointed with the service and communication from the store. Anybody else having issues with getting their purchases.

Just received my office chair. Took a while but well worth the wait. Top quality and outstanding craftsmanship. Will be ordering again.

Changed 1 star to 5 after finally getting the furniture. I absolutely love it. The wait was frustrating but the finished product is very well made and perfect. So far not a great experience. I can’t speak to the quality as the furniture I ordered in April still hasn’t arrived. You have to email their “status” team to get updates as no one contacts you after you’ve paid. I’m 8 months in on this and getting extremely frustrated. I was also sent an email saying I was not to contact the salesmen over the delays as they were too busy helping new customers! It’s been 8 months since I paid the down payment so I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever get it.

Wow, all I can say is Wow. Amazing product and so many choices of styles and leather. Went to the Bolton showroom and picked out our sectional with Alfredo. Yes, there was a delay due to the accent leather that we chose, but when it arrived it was well worth the wait. The sectional looks amazing and even better than what we saw in the showroom. Alfredo and Tony kept us updated on the progress including when the leather was arriving, when the sectional was being built and then scheduled a delivery date. Love that it is a Canadian company and a Family company. I can't imagine buying furniture anywhere else. It was worth the wait, nothing like the imported pieces that we looked at at other stores.

We ordered two sofas and two chairs from the kind Boss family back in January, and it was well worth the wait! Since we live in B.C. we were hesitant at first to order without sitting on the pieces first, but Rob made the process easy. From getting samples sent and concept drawings. Overall, it is the best furniture purchase we have ever made. We were sure to pay for an upgraded shipping service with one of there trusted carriers that brought it right to our home. The craftsmanship is novel and frankly elusive these days. My grandfather was an upholsterer and I have not seen any leather craft come close to what he used to do until I got these beautiful pieces. Kudos to the entire Boss Team & Rob !

Honestly, we paid 6 grand for a set of chairs we were really excited about, and they’re nice but the process was a nightmare. The customer service after the initial pitch is a joke. There were delays in our chairs being finished (which I understand with difficulty sourcing material etc. during pandemic) but I had to email them endlessly to get even the smallest update. The information they did give me after I badgered them for weeks was minimal and conflicting. This occurred multiple times over the course of 4 months (after the initial time they quoted they’d be finished). I spoke with Tony regarding payment which I paid via e-transfer who said they’d call me in a few days with shipping details. I then didn’t hear from them for two weeks and when I called to ask what’s going on he said “did you pay yet” … I had to send him a copy of my e-transfer and he said they didn’t mark it down as received so they had been sitting on my finished chairs instead of calling me to follow-up. How long would they have sat there had I not called to follow up? The shipping company they use is a rip off, they were behind schedule and when we called they said “your chairs are here but we’re behind and can’t deliver them until next week”, we’ll my partner works out of town and I can’t take time off work to be home for delivery, so we had to go pick them up ourselves. Once they arrived certain details we had worked out with Rob like a printed side pocket were missing, and the arms were puckering (which can happen with leather but it’s very obvious, wasn’t happening in the photos on their website, and is frankly disappointing. As I said before, the chairs are nice but I would NEVER buy from them again because this has been an absolute nightmare. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere - NOT WORTH IT.

Extremely poor customer service. Essentially non existent once the initial pitch is done and the order placed. Promised due dates not met. Actually found out they'd either lost or misplaced my order information after a 3 month wait. Never bothered to notify me. I only found out when I contacted them. Quick to become frustrated and angry when pointing out inconsistencies and errors in the delivery process. Really are too many issues to list here. And I am not one to provide a poor review without giving a business many, many chances. A real let down.

No care or courtesy for committed 10 week lead team. Have to chase them with very poor customer service. 10 week lead time turned into 20+? With no end in sight... except for the deposit. Extremely disappointed in this company!!!!!
