We offer new hand-hewn, rough-sawn, and smooth dressed texture options. We can also incorporate century-old antique barn beams in the crafting of your frame. The crafting of the timber frame, timber trusses, and other timber elements is the first step. This is the job of our crafting division, Southwest Log & Timber Works. Our talented team of artisans cuts and pre-assembles the timber components at our facility in North Fort Worth; sculpting, fitting, hewing, and preparing the timbers prior to the final assembly and raising at your building site. We carry a wide range of antique building materials all dating from the mid to late 1800's. Our lumber products vary in wood species, dimensions, colors and texture. This material has a rich, time-worn patina that brings a unique rustic elegance to ceilings, walls, floors, cabinets, and furniture projects. We have over 30,000 square feet of antique lumber products and barn boards in our inventory. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, these authentic antique materials are available in various widths, lengths, colors and textures. We offer processing services such as brush sanding, milling, and thickness planing. Custom antique flooring orders are welcome. Beams are sold in unfinished original condition or can be washed and brush sanded by our staff. Southwest Log & Timber Works also offers milling and crafting services. Our team of talented artisans will precut and assemble timber trusses, timber frames, or any other timber components to your specifications. We also offer full design services and structural engineering.
