In 1970, a local family purchased a small hardware store adjacent to The University of Texas campus. As the years went by, that small hardware store expanded to two locations and is now an Austin institution. Still locally owned and operated, the stores were purchased in 2015 by a new family of retailers. This new family has a vision to expand the role of Ace Hardware in the two stores – from being the “behind the scenes” supplier of great hardware products, to revitalizing the brand and growing the business throughout central Texas. As your local hardware store, our company is a member of the largest independently owned hardware cooperative in the industry. From neighborhood hardware stores to lumberyards to super-size home centers, Ace Hardware stores are unique and tailored to meet the needs of their local communities. We are committed to being "the Helpful Place" by offering our customers knowledgeable advice, helpful service, and quality products. While hardware is still a big part of the experience, our collection of products also includes some of the finest tableware, kitchenware, garden and seasonal décor you’ll find anywhere.
