We needed to purchase wood for finishing out our barn ceiling but are on a tight budget. I had been pricing lumber from the big box stores and scouting CraigsList as well to see if builders had surplus material for cheap. I found the ad for American Lumbermill and gave them a call. Lee McInnis is the owner and you just can't find a nicer more honest and meticulously hard working person than him. His pricing is better than anywhere and he has the equipment to mill and even build anything you can think of. It was difficult to decide which category to put him under because he is a cabinet maker, he makes hardwood for floors, shiplap for less than you will find it anywhere, he and his daughter also use a water jet cutter for stone, brick and metal art. Multi talented and so creative. We not only found a place near home for all of our lumber needs, but we have also made a new friend who I am sure will last a lifetime! We have not yet installed the wood so, at this time, I can only show a photo of the stack we plan to use. We hosted a wedding in our barn this weekend (June 3, 2017) and here's a pic showing the beautiful finished arched ceiling!
