My days of DIY furniture assembly are over, so I called Orlando, who was recommended by Houzz. He was so professional and pleasant when I called that I booked him on the spot to assemble a large (4'x6') wooden wardrobe closet with drawers and shelves. He stayed in touch until the thing arrived, then made himself available the next day to do the work. He arrived promptly with all the tools he needed for the job (and more), worked from a schematic that looked like Xeroxed squiggles to me, and got the job done well and without drama. He was upfront about his rates, estimated the time it would take, and the estimate was right on the button. I thought his rates were reasonable, commensurate with his skill. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat for any future apartment improvement projects.

I've been hiring Orlando to fix things in my apartment for the past couple of years, and I can't say enough good about him and his work. His work is of the highest quality, he is extremely reliable, professional and friendly and he is always able to find creative solutions to challenging repairs/requests. He is also often available with short notice. I can't imagine a better handyman.

Orlando did a fantastic job installing a new interior door and repairing a busted door frame in my apartment. If I could give him more than 5/5 stars I would - you won't regret working with him. The quality of his work was outstanding, he was impeccably professional and he charged a very reasonable price. Most importantly, I felt that I was in a safe pair of hands with Orlando - he is clearly very trustworthy. He went out of his way to find the most cost effective solution to my project, even though he could easily have offered me materials at inflated prices or a more expensive door than I needed. I will definitely be using Orlando's services again.

HandyPros NYC is great! I contacted them late last night and they came in today to install my AC support bracket and the new AC unit. He came and did it professionally. I highly recommend them!
