Mattson Begley Co. LLC Landscape Design & Construction was founded in Ortonville in 2015 by Stephen Mattson and Allan Begley. Everyday we are inspired by the projects we get to work on. In all of our designs, we strive to find the perfect balance between comfort and beauty. Our goal is not only to create beautiful structures, but to improve the way we live. We are passionate about people and spaces, and always design with functionality in mind.

Stephen and his crew did our entire backyard from scratch, planting, 2 patios, large stone retaining wall, wooden fence, drainage, everything. Turned out exceptional, within agreed time frame and budget. These guys go the extra mile for you - their primary objective is to achieve total customer satisfaction. They won't try to sell you what you don't want or need but they will give you professional advise. Meanwhile we did another project with them, a front yard walk way including 2 massive lime stone rocks. Again, turned out perfect, just a pleasure and a lot of fun to work with this company. You won't go wrong!

We are very satisfied with the job Stephen and the crew did on our landscaping. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a very professional, trustworthy person to do their landscaping and hardscape. We will be using them again in the future! The eye for detail in picking the right plants and stones for our design was critical and we could not be happier with the end result.

We had an extensive landscape job done, including a large patio, 2 big stone retaining walls and plantings. Steve and his crew did a job that exceeded our expectations. The end result for all 3 projects were stunning: the patio turned an ugly unusable space into one of our favorite places to go, the stone walls had a beautiful blend of sizes and colors of rocks and they meticulously placed them as if it were a large puzzle, and the landscaping plants they used grew in beautifully. They stand by their guarantee if any of your plants die. We are thrilled with the end result and highly recommend them!
