Green Lakes Landscaping, Inc.'s co-founders, Guillermo and Andrea Garcia, and their family have made Minnesota their home for fifteen years. For most of his thirty-plus years as a landscaper (here, in California, Virginia and Texas) Guillermo worked full-time for large landscaping companies. After working a full-day, Guillermo spent his evenings and weekends beautifying the lawns and landscapes of a handful of very fortunate (and grateful) clients. From small yard maintenance to landscaping installation and maintenance on large estates, Guillermo worked with enthusiasm and pride in his work. Meanwhile, Eileen Piper and her family relocated from Washington, D.C. to Minnesota in the summer of 2013. Eileen, a self-described "recovering attorney," met Guillermo in the fall of 2013. While her husband started his new job and Eileen got the kids settled in school and unpacked the boxes, the Pipers had no time for landscaping and yard maintenance. Guillermo joyfully took on the challenge of maintaining the lawn and installing new landscaping. Over the next two years, the landscaping expanded, the plants and trees grew; so did a friendship between the Garcia and Piper families. The idea of forming a landscaping company that would enable Guillermo to dedicate all of his time and talents to his own company and clients was planted. Eileen was eager to partner with Guillermo, as she had so admired his extraordinary talent and work ethic. Now in its second year, Green Lakes Landscaping is full-service lawn and garden service and maintenance company. As Guillermo has done for all of his life, Green Lakes Landscaping, Inc. prides itself on delivering experience, beauty and reliability with the personalized service of a local, family-owned and operated company.
